Alan is bein' used annymore than Obama is. The DNC knew exactly what they were doin' by puttin' a Black Man as Keynote speaker. If anything, both of them are puppets bein' pulled by the **** and the DNC.
Alan Keyes has already admitted on numerous occasions that he dosn't even know if the republicans would have chosen him if he wasnt black. I thought that his stance on racism was interesting though. He pointed out that both of them may be black in skin color but they dont have the same heritage.
*makes face* They became politicians by choice and anything they do is on their own accord. It may be beneficial to use a Black man for your campaign against the DNC's go-to-man because it makes it seem like there are alot of black republicans (youd be surprised how many go to Morehouse) and that black people have individual minds that dont all tie mindlessly to the Democratic vote.
But yeah, they probably are puppets. *shrug* Doesnt make either of them any less black.
All said and done...I still think Keys is a disgrace to society and the African race.... and he is a puppet..
Obama is not no puppet...he is truth is many aspects........
I agree with the fact that Keyes is disgraceful for the black community. It's as if he agrees with the **** that black people can't and do not think for themselves. They think just by sticking a black canidate in that it will split the vote? How can he call himself a man for the black community if he's advocating beliefs that have the potential to strip the black community of what few things that we have to benifit us. When Obama wins I think this will go as a lesson for the Republicans that black people are not stupid. But then again the question is "Will they care?". And though I can somewhat understand why a person would say that Obama is being used I would like for that person to elaborate.
Obama was not the only Black person that was running for U.S. Senate, nor was he the only person running for U.S. Senate period.
The DNC always pulls out ALL the stops during an election year in order to seal the Black vote. Bill Clinton did it by going on Arsenio Hall and playing the Saxaphone. The DNC is doing it this year by highlighting Obama.
Is Obama a deserving canidate? I'd say so, but let's be real, would he be getting all of this action and shine if this wasn't an election year. The DNC knows that Black folx don't vote, and especially in such a neck-and-neck election that this is going to be, they are going to need every vote they can get. So why not give the darkies the illusion that Blacks are gaining more power.
We'll put a Black Senator up there, we'll look like we're intergrated
The last time the U.S. had a Black Senator was during the Reconstruction Period. Why is the DNC and the **** waitin' so damn long to endorse one?
Puppets, mere, puppets.
