Ok, alot of us on here have the desire to become Lawyers. My question is, what steps have ya'll taken to make that desire come true.
I mean, have ya'll startin'' studyin' for th LSAT, or takin'' any LSAT Prep courses, (Kaplan, Prepmaster) do ya'll have any idea about what Law School ya'll plan on attending and what type of scores ya'll are gonna be needing?
Me, I've known since I was in the 7th grade that I wanted to be a Lawyer. It's just something that has always been apart of my personality. I guess the nerd in me was always fasicnated with the Perry Masons and Matlocks. They didn't have super powers, or no martial arts, but they still beat the bad guys errrry-time.
Since I've come to school, I've been emersing (ya'll like them big words, huh?) myself in Pre-Law stuff. I've got workstudy in the Political Science Dept's Pre-Law office. I've become apart of the Morehouse-Spelman Pre-Law society...etc...etc...
This past summer I had an internship with a small law firm down here in Atlanta. The funny thing is that I know more about Pre-Law stuff, than most Poli Sci majors. People always think that just because I'm an English Major, that I'm DESTINED to be a teacher. They never utter the words "law" or "school" until after I tell them what I plan on doing.
Bah....I'm starting to ramble, ya'll go ahead and keep this post goin'.
Well so far I have joined the Hatchett Pre-law Society here on campus ( which is basically a pre- law frat ) and I will be taking the LSAT prep courses in the Spring. I wanted to take them now, but just dont have the time. So far thats all I have gotten do in regards to me POSSIBLY becoming a future attorney ( im thinking about working for the government in the FBI or DEA )....Ill keep ya updated on what more I begin to do.

The two schools that I am really looking into right now our Georgetown, and the UT @ Austin. Ima be looking into some others tho.
As far as the LSAT. Ima take it towards the end of the spring after I take the prep courses and just see how I do. And of course I will take it a few more times after that. But my real LSAT score isnt gonna count til I start applying to law school Fall 06...
