STATE OF EMERGENCY AT HBCU

Here at one HBCU, Delaware State University, the Marching Band has been banned from playing the Negro National Anthem "Lift Every Voice and Sing" by the President Dr. Allen Sessoms. This is an OUTRAGE...he changes the school colors, taken out a VERY sacred song for African Americans and he is even proposing to change the school name to University of Delaware Dover. He has got to stop, we are asking for everyone's support on this matter. We are DEFINITELY not taking this sitting down. This is a time when we must come together.

Sounds like u have a republican as your school president. Lift Every Voice and Sing is one of few things that we have to remind ourselves of where we come from since they took prayer out of schools
