Thats crazy. I didn t know that kids where allowed to even stay on campus . I dont agree with that but at least the mom is trying to do something with thier life.
What is wrong with a school letting someone live on campus with their kids? Not live in dorms, but on campus. Everyone deserves a chance to go to school and if that is a way the school helps these mothers/fathers/parents get an education, I am missing what the problem is.....I guess a lot of yall are not parents, neither am I, but just put yourself in their shoes and say it is wrong
SMH@some folks

You're supposed to be able to do that at A&T. That was the purpose of Aggie Terrace, but you see how far that's gotten... In addition, you notice they're building another set of apartments across from the Dowdy building for the same purpose. But I doubt you'll find any students with children jumping to stay there either. It just seems like most find it more convenient to live off campus, or let their parents keep the kid. I don't see the problem with mothers staying on campus though. Granted, there's some things that you might not want your kid to see, but that's almost what you'll find in any urban setting. A college's campus is supposed to be able to accomodate all people, and if it means that you have to stay on campus with your kid to make things easier for you, then dammit, you should be allowed to do so. This should be especially true at an HBCU. A lot of our young women have children and that's the only thing holding them back from furthering their studies. It shouldn't be as hard as it is, and if the college can help, then it not only helps the mother, but it brings proserity to the college.
