like, if u just met someone & off tha bat, they tell u their nickname...& u KNOW it'z a nickname...do u care (and ask 'em what they're REAL name is)...or just leave it @ that?
most...if not all dudes i know...usually don't care about people havin' nicknamez...
w/ the femalez, it's like half & half...i know some who care, most who don't....
w/ me...it depends on who it is, what the nickname is, what his/her REAL name is, etc. etc....
if i run up on a dude whose real name is Chris, 4 example...& he has a reasonable alternative...thas coo w/ me...'cuz as MANY "Chris"s i know, it just makes it easier to differentiate, y'know...?
but i HATE when dudez have a descent and/or unique real name...& they have people call 'em somethin' else...especially if the somethin' else is dumb....
i don't know too many females who have nicknames (besides abbreviated versions of their real names...like "Meya" for me)....but guys...i always meet so many guys w/ nicknamez, it's crazy...most of the time, it just depends on what mood i'm in...if i feel like callin' u by ya government, i'll do that...if i feel like hittin' u up by ya street...i'll do that too...jus' dependz....
Depends on what kind of nickname it is. If it's one that EVERYONE calls you then I'll call you that. If it's one that only your FRIENDS call you then I'll call you by your Gov't or a diff nickname or I might just make up my own.
It depends on the nickname. A name like "boo-boo vanilla", u may ask. But a nickname like T, Slim, Pooh, C-C, or something like that is not a nickname I will ask about until I get to know u
Guys case: I'll take the nickname and ride with it, cause that's what they like to be called and I can respect that, plus I've got so many nicknames that I hardly ever hear my real name anymore. I'll find out the person's real name later
Girls case: I'll take the nickname for the first introduction, but the next has to have the real name......cause I don't like to call people somethin that someone else made up. I'll make up my own in time......lol

It doesn't matter to me, some People call me Emmanuel then other just call me Manny which is the mature version of Man Man (people still call me that)
So, when it comes to other people I call them what ever comes to mind first.

I'll call them by their nickname once and if they seem cool about it then i keep calling them that. If not...chances are imma still call them by their nickname.
