Howard U Transfers Posted on 02-23-2004

I applied, was accepted, and I'm planning on transferring to Howard in the fall! I would appreciate some feed back from any other current students who have transferred to Howard. Let me know what the deal is, and how I can make the transition smoothly!

Hey I also applied to Howard as a transfer but, i have not received my response yet. I just applied in the first week of february so I guess I will receive my response in a month or two. When did you apply I am also worried about making the transition into a new school.

Hey I'm also planning to transfer to Howard for fall 2004 and I needed a little help from some current & past students. First off The biggest question that I've been wanting to ask is: Is HU's surrounding as bad as some make it to be? I mean has any HU students ever actually been in danger on or off campus? Another question is about the dorms, I have narrowed my choices down to Bethune Annex and Howard Plaza Towers West- is there anyone who lives or know someone who lives / has lived in either of these dorms. Also does HU have any scholarships available to transfers(that you know of)? Thanks -- 8)

But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

Ok im gonna try to answer that to the best of my ability. Security on campus is safe. Yea the neighborhood isnt the best but its also not the worst. Second off the Towers are only for Juniors and seniors and honor students...I recomend the towers. The towers are coed and very nice. The Annex is nice also but its an all female dorm and the girls there are very anti-social. If u live in the Annex then you HAVE to have a meal plan and alot of upperclass men dont like that. The Annex is actually on campus where as the Towers are a few blocks away. Hope I helped.
