It depends. Do you feel that you can't trust him because of his age? I mean you need to give more details.

Actually, momoney had started another post to this same situation, in this same message board:

FELLAS AND GURLS HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP? WELL IF SO HOW DID IT GO DID IT LAST LONG OR WAS IT JUST A MIN THING? TELL ME WHAT DO YOU THINK OF A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP? IS IS IT A GOOD THING TO BE IN? LET KNOW WHAT YOUR THOUGHTS ARE ,HIT ME UP CUZ RIGHT NOW I'M IN A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP AND IT'S LIKE I DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD STAY IN THE RELATIONSHIP OR NOT BECAUSE HE DOESN'T CALL ME BUT WE TALK EVERY NOW THEN. WHAT SHOULD I DO? i ASK THAT YOU TAKE THE POLL TEST PLEASE!! YOU HAVE HAVE TO REPLY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO.
I'm gonna go ahead and answer to both topics...to the one above, I am in a long distance relationship. He graduated this spring and his job placed him in Rhode Island. It's been only 7 months, but I don't mind the fact being in a long distance relationship EXCEPT...the fact I can't see him everyday physically; sometimes the pictures do not help when I want to be around him. I knew what I was getting into because he had already taken the offer before I met him so I knew I needed to have trust and faith in my relationship; for any long distance relationship those two things are key. Funny your situation is that he doesn't call you because my boyfriend doesn't like talking on the phone that much either but he also explained that to me awhile ago. Maybe your boyfriend just don't like talking every other hour on the phone. I mean he may feel that if you're talking everday for like 3 hours and there is no real "conversation" that he's not cool with that. But he aint calling PERIOD and when you do talk and it's like, yeah I went to Wal_Mart and bought some gym pants, and I gotta go now to go workout and he dont call back until next Monday....  yo that isnt good. It all depends on really how you feel; if you one of those people that need to constantly talk to feel the relationship is secure and he isnt then try to compromise the situation for instance, email him if he does that kind of thing, or use instant messenger. At least they are free. And as far as the 4 years, again as others have said, depending where that 4 year difference lies (16-20, 18-22, 20-24) if you are mature enough to handle a guy that is four years older than fine do it up, but at the same time some guys four years older still match the age of a woman four years younger and vice versa. I guess it does depend...but that's my opinion. How old are you and how long have you been dating him?
