Um, take vitamins because not properly caring for your hair with either method will mess your hair up. I would say whatever is convenient for you.

Relaxers....Presses work best if it it is something you have ALWAYS done and never had a relaxer. I have friends who always got their hair pressed and never had a perm and their hair is healthy and strong...but since I have been using relaxers all my life, my hair is conditioned to being straightened by chemicals...so FOR ME...a relaxer is best...But it all depends on the person and the hair.

depeds on what grade of hair you have and what your hair is used to. Both are damaging but you can also get them to work in your favor. Presses are a lot of constant heat while relaxers are strong chemicals. Whatever you do, make sure you see a professional so that your hair can stay properly conditioned and can recieve the proper heat protection,

Ive talked to my beautician about this along time ago and actually presses are better for any type of hair (now if you have EXTREMELY coarse hair then your presses might not last THAT long) but relaxers have harsh chemicals and can really damage your hair especially if you have virgin hair, if you want to get a relaxer for the 1st time then you NEED to to a beautician
