well not really men as much as teenage boys...im doing a documentary on misconceptions of young black men....the set up is the boys in a room together debating topics back in forth and i am also going to be talking to some black fathers...i haven't completely finished but here are my questions/topics so far:
1. Should the word **** be used by black people?
2. Do you think today's rap lyrics are degrading to women?
3. Is today's "****" image positive? If so, are you pimps and/or want to become one?
4. The decline of good black men....T or F? What do you think about the sudden uprise in black women who don't believe there are "good black men"?
5. White privilege---How does it affect you?
6. Affirmative action---yes or no and why
7. interracial dating
ok so my question is what am i missing and are there any requests for me to tamper with the topics to make them more applicable to Black men?
thanks fellaz

Whose misconceptions?
Here are some questions:
1. In the future how will you serve to be part of the problem or part of the solution?
2. How does a law come into effect?
3. Where do you want to be in five years and what are you doing to get there?
4. If I gave you $50,000 what would you do with it?
5. What is the Middle Passage?
6. Do a series of Finish this sentence/Phrase association type exercises. Like:
a) Women are ....
b) Education is ....
c) The Police ....
d) Success means ....
e) Greatness is ....
the misconceptions: the media, the public in general....i go to a predominantly white school and you would be surprised at the stuff people say....ill definitely use those complete the sentence ones though....good idea....
Issues that directly affect or relate to the black man will make it a great documentary. I think that the DL lifestyle will one of the most controversial and poignant topics to discuss among African American men since it seems as if women talk about it more often.
