so the iraqis voted to day....
what are ya thoughts?
personally, i was very optomistic about the future of iraq...even i was surprised by the iraq's people determination to participate in the election...
you had cats walking for miles to polling stations....people like 90 years old who had never partcipated in a free election being wheeled to the polls...not to mention they were all risking thier lives....
i was blown away because the liberal media has no way to explain middleasterners actually accepting democracy...and how positive the iraqis feel about thier future...or how the elections went pretty uneventful for the most part, although you know the **** wanted chas today...i think america and the world are more optimistic about iraq's future now...because they see how the iraq citizens have responded to america, not the rebels...it appears to me, that the iraqi's just want thier country back...and they do want thier freedom...
i guess it made me seriously reflect on how much we take our freedom here in america for granted...i was teary eyed when i saw a young iraqi dude on TV say "I voted...and I am happy as hell today..." and there was another dude who was like "today...very very very good...i'm very very very happy..."
i don't care what you think about my boyfriend bush...you have to admit that in the long run, this will be good for the people of iraq, and that my boytoy made the right decision...
oh yeah...the sunnis didn't vote becaue THIER LEADERS told them not to...although they may be upset because they lost some power after saddam, i beleieve the sunnis did want to participate in todays election...
i heard a story about a group of sunnis loitering outside of a polling place...no one had gone in yet...then one guy decided he was going to go ahead and vote...then like 4 or 5 guys followed him.. and then like there was like 100 people standing in line to vote there...
cool stuff
*starts humming GOD BLESS AMERICA*
