I thought that was 50 Cent in the picture.
Theres a difference between makin a mistake and being stupid.....
am i the only one here looking at that photo and thinking "wow that is such a great couple" because at least that black man is trying to take an active part in that child's life....but anyways she made a mistake, plenty of single mothers did, heck mine did...and my mother is ANYTHING but dumb or stupid.....the thing is these single mothers have enough on their backs already without people , especially their own black sistahs, making unfair judgements about em....especially dealing with their intelligence because i know single mothers who are more intelligent than half the so called intellects in college without babies to begin with......besides having a baby doesnt mean she didnt "value herself enough" or "wants to settle for nothing"...i mean i know hoes who use the best protection and dont have one single kid but no man would want to touch them because of how grimey they are...
besides when ya become pregnant you have to make MAJOR sacrifices , even foregoing your own dreams to nurture that child in a good environment, my mom wanted to be a fashion designer..but she couldnt just do that because she had to think of immediate stuff like diapers and all....... so you may see it as "caught up" but i see it as her "taking care of business with the circumstances she was dealt with"
the one thing i dont understand about our black culture though is we are SOOO against **** as a people(well most of yall) but yet when a young mother chooses to give life to her child and deal with the situation as best she can, we want to condemn her almost......
Just because you don't think she was ready for a child doesnt mean she wasnt. Twenty is not that young. Back in the day-day that was the normal marrying age. Maybe she has endometriosis or fibrois and she wanted to have baby before its too late.
Having a baby may change your life, but its not the end of your life. At least she didn't get an ****.
