I was down there in Dallas...yo, that jawn was live. If you never heard of NSBE and they national conferences, its the only place where you can party til 4AM, hit up the career fair the next morning and speak to 200 some multimillion dollar companies like IBM, Nokia, toyota, johnson & johnson, NASA, and on & on. Then party that night til 4AM, get up early and holla at some more companies...go on some interviews, network and make some connects, or hit up the professional/business workshops. the whole thing lasts 5 days, work hard during the day and play hard each night. they got stepshows, grad school fairs, comedy show, a poetry slam,engineering competitions, this closing event where everybody get real clean- ladies in they evening gowns and all that, a free concert too.
and yo, if u a engineer, IT/IS major, or even business / science major but u not in nsbe, its in your best interest to find out if yall got a nsbe chapter at ya school. see whats up, get involved widdem and save ya $$ for the national conf..for real! NSBE is the largest student run org in the country i think, and like 4,000 of us was at this year conference. when all them black college students invade some town, it is a sight to see, haha. & its all peace. i even end up gettin my job at verizonwireless thru the nsbe conf last year.
aight this prolly sound like im doin a commercial by now, lol. just wanted to see who all on this board was down there, and if yall had a good experience like i did. i even pulled this fly jamaican jawn that was a recruiter for a BIG financial firm (think wall street) while i was there...haa :twisted: .

Hey i didn't go to it but i went to one like 3 years back with a group n my area called GT-TAME(Golden Triangle- Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering) the convention i went to was in Kansas. Yea u right it be on point at them thangs!
