Ummm, i think alot of people arent clear on what submitting is. He is basically the spiritual leader. I also read that the couple must submit onto each other but no one talks about that. Anyway, i don't have problem with it as long as he knows that it does give him the authority to tell me what to do. And seee thats often a problem with marriages today.

that's kind of how i feel. i think i'd have a hard time submitting to my husband.

I'm kinda old school and I believe the man should be head of household. I will also have a career and/or business, but if my man is taking care of his home and treating me like his queen I have absolutely no problem with submitting to him. The reality of it is that men need to feel like men, and that they are fulfilling society's preception of what a man is supposed to be. If that man isn't feeling like he's a man or taking on "men responsiblities", including in his own home, their self esteem gets low. When they self esteem gets low men either get angry, they leave their wives & children, or even cheat.

a lot of things are when it comes to marriage and the home. I personally think women take on too much on their own. All the responsiblities are put on the wives and they end up as "desperate housewives". You know, the ones you always see on Oprah, Dr.Phil and Divorce Court that have husbands that run over them.

Yep, that's exactly why we need to allow men to be men. I'm not trying to be an "independent woman", I want and need a man's help when it comes to household and family.

I can agree with this statement. I won't submit completely but to some extent. I'm still going to be my own person I won't let him have full of control me, not unless we are in bed. But that's a different story. Toon_PDT_20
