GO WITH NORFOLK STATE NSU IS IN NORFOLK, VIRGINIA, WHICH IS IN THE 757, WE CALL THE AREA THE 7 CITIES CAUSE NORFOLK, VIRGINIA BEACH, CHESAPEAKE, PORTSMOUTH, SUFFOLK, HAMPTON, AND NEWPORT NEWS ARE AKE UP THE 757. ALL THE CITIES ARE LIKE LESS THAN 30 MINS AWAYS. VIRGINIA BEACH IS ONLY 20 MINS AWAY FROM NSU. NSU IS ONLY AND HOUR AWAY FROM RICHMOND AND 2 HOURS FROM DC. WE NOT TOO FAR FROM SOME AREAS OF NC EITHER. NSU IS A GOOD SCHOOL, WE HAVE GOOD ACADEMICS AND SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE, NOT TO SAY THAT MORGAN DONT BUT I"M THE FOR THE SPARTANS. SOME OF THE PROFESSORS ARE KOOL, OTHERS GET ON YOUR NERVES, BUT THATS WITH EVERYBODY EVERYWHERE. DEPENDING ON YOUR MAJOR, U WILL IT OR HAVE IT HARD AT NSU. I KNOW THE BUSINESS AND NURSING SCHOOLS ARE SERIOUS BUT THE SERIOUS. THEY ARE THOUGH PROGRAMS, WHICH IS GOOD. STUDENTS ARE KOOL FOR THE MOST PART, SO IT SHOULD BE EASY TO FIND A CLICK TO HANG OUT WITH WHILE U AT NSU. BECOME A SPARTAN AND BEHOLD THE GREEN AND GOLD

I really, really tried to refrain from responding to this post, but its nothing negative, and I couldn't resist. I agree that both MSU and NSU are excellent institutions. However, a word to the wise for future reference.... if you are promoting your school, especially if you mention the academics- make sure you at the VERY LEAST proof read what you wrote before submitting, so that you can sound intelligent. There were TONS of grammatical errors in the previous post, it got to the point, it was even hard to read. I don't think you want that to reflect on the overall academia of NSU, because unfortunately that is what this person will see, and possibly even judge

I can only speak for Norfolk State because I have no reference of MSU as far as the community, student body, or academic programs. Norfolk State University is so diverse in a sense of academic achievements. They have great programs as far as there Medical and Computer Science fields. I'm sure our other programs are just as well, but I just named two. As far as the student body. They are great. You must be able to be ready for anything. It is alittle ghetto, but you can't get enough of that. I love it and wouldn't change if for anything. The athletics are ok. They could be better. The sports that you mainly hear about is our football team and our basketball team. But from what I hear all of our team sports are pretty good, but they don't get that much recognition. But overall the school is great. "Behold The Green And Gold"

Firstly, I don't really know about MSU, but Norfolk State is where it's at. Although we (I) may ragg on the school from time to time, it is a great school. (kinda like talking about your parents...only you are allowed to do it, if your friend says something about yo moma, it becomes fightin words) The saff and faculty are real funny. The professors here care about you and what is going on in your life. Norfolk is 5 minutes away from Va Beach...a real beach, which is perfect for chill time. Plenty of clubs and organizations to join. Either or, you have the good with the bad. There are going to be good and bad expriences no matter what school you go to. You just got to rise above that and recognize why you came to college. Any questions aboout NSU, call info and ask for admissions at (757) 823-8600 (No, i do not work for NSU...just a proud spartan.) :!: Secondly to 2001Pirate. I thought that this was a post foruim. I didn't know that we were being graded on our sentence structure or our on our gramatical errors. Please stay over there across the water and let NSU be. Your post just shows how **** pirates are, assuming you attend hampton... if not my bad

Whew  , good thing you are not being graded, and if its a post forum, than that means I can say what I want, and I did, thanks. I did, however agree that NSU was a good school, even despite your uneccessary comments. And if you really want me to be the **** person that I am (which has nothing to do with my school)- NO I don't attend Hampton, I ATTENDED Hampton, notice the year- 2001.

MAN....MORGAN STATE IS A EXCELLENT INSTITUTION. I WAS ACCEPTED TO BOTH BUT I CHOOSE MSU BECAUSE I FEEL IT HAS MORE TO OFFER ME. BESIDES, I HAVE A VERY CLOSE FRIEND WHO ATTENDS NORFOLK STATE AND IS CURRENTLY TRYIN TO TRANSFER TO MORGAN  , BUT EVERYBODY HAS DIFFERENT OPINIONS AND EXPERIENCES TO SHARE. IM NOT HERE TO DOWN TALK ANOTHER SCHOOL SO I'LL JUS SAY THIS, GO VISIT EACH CAMPUS, AND WEBSITE.....BASED UPON YOUR MAJOR SEE WHICH ONE HAS A BETTER PROGRAM TO FIT YOUR NEEDS. I WAS TOLD IT IS NOT WISE TO BASE COLLEGE DECISIONS ON WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY EITHER SO JUST MAKE SURE WHERE EVER U GO...MAKE SURE ITS CUZ YOU WANNA GO! I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING UP ON MSU SINCE MY SOPHOMORE YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL AND I AM EXCITED ABOUT BEIN EXCEPTED AND CANNOT WAIT TO ATTEND IN THE FALL OF 04. ON THAT NOTE..GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DECISION

Norfolk State University is a very great institution of higer education. I am currently and Junior and will be a graduating Senior next year. I feel that NSU has a lot to offer to its students, academic and leisure wise. This is a great time to be at NSU because we are going through some phases here that will make our school and even better place to attend. Such as the contruction of our RISE CENTER, NEW STUDENT UNION, NEW HOUSING AND A LOT OF RENAVATIONS. I transfered to NSU into the Hospitality program in the school of business. The hospitaltiy and business programs here are excellent, that's why I chose NSU. Like somebody said eairlier, choose a school based on the program you want to major in and what you think of the school. Any and everybody can tell you stuff, but you have to look for yourself. On that note, I whish you the best in finding your institution of higher education. Hopefully, you will "Behold the Green and Gold" and become a SPARTAN! GOOD LUCK! P.S And for you HU Pirate, stop hating on NSU......what you need to be worried about is the accreditaion of your school!
