*smh*
I suggest you listen to an Eagle or an Aggie about their experience @ JBowz.
Both schools are located in college oriented towns with professionals and positive black people all over.
Facilities- NCCU has a new dorm opening in March and another being renovated to open in March. Three more dorms will undergo renovations this semester. They are building a new cafeteria to be opened in 2007. You can view some of the projects here http://web.nccu.edu/bond/
Academics - the institutions hold vastly different missions, and therefore it's not really fair to compare them academically. A & T is really good at what they do (Business, Engineering, Graphic Design, Agriculture, Research Sciences); while NCCU has outstanding programs in our specialties (Music, Theater Arts, Nursing, Biology, Recreation, Education, Hospitality and Tourism).
Social Life - Many students don't take advantage of the many opportunities for social and cultural growth offered at NCCU. There are coffee houses (poetry/live music) readings all the time, and distinguished speakers come all of the time. Add that to the myriad of clubs and organizations and pretty much anyone with an interest in any thing or subject can get involved.
Most of the partying focuses around the greek system and Club Bounce and some others downtown and on 9th street (the Durham version of Franklin Street). Since Raleigh and Chapel Hill are so close, students travel and party between the three all the time.
Community Service - Our motto is Truth and Service and our students are REQUIRED to perform community service every semester.
Part-time Job Opportunities - Three malls within 10 miles of each other, among other side businesses and opportunities on campus.
Feel free to look at our NCCU View book for a list of distinguished alumni and other facts!

*cracks knuckles* How many times have we answered this Wile E?
JBowz,
The deal is that, like Wile E said, the schools are vastly different from each other as far as academics are concerned. Its been that way since both schools inceptions (NC A&T in 1891 and NCCA in 1910). Even up through the 1980s students at A&T were seen as a bunch of country bumpkins who farmed and worked on machines, whereas students at Central were the intellectual lawyers and thinkers, because those are the programs that each school offered. The only thing that we have in common is that we both have a College of Arts and Sciences. So it basically depends almost on what kind of atmosphere you are looking for.
I'm not gonna go through and repeat all the similarities that Wile E did because we've both done this numerous times before.
North Carolina A&T is mostly a technical and engineering oriented university aside from the aforementioned College of Arts and Sciences. Most of our student body is made up of Engineering and/or Technology majors. We also offer a nursing program, however NCCU's is far better due to the fact that their nurses inter at Duke University and UNC Hospitals (two of the best hospitals in the world). NCCU also differs in that they are the only HBCU with a Sports Medicine Dept. NC A&T also has an Animal Science Dept. that can rival with the top schools. We have an exclusive partnership with NC State University where our students can continue onto vet. school rather easily.
Both social atmosphere is the same (even though our Homecoming blows NCCU's out the water... ). Just about every week, there's a Greek Organization throwing a party at one of the many clubs in Greensboro. In addition we are in close proximity (and hour's drive or so) to other NC Universities, including NCCU (oh the times I've had there...) UNC, Duke, NCState, Wake Forest, Winston Salem State as well as a slew of others in Greensboro. But its really no different than NCCU, especially since a whole lot of them visit over here and vice versa.
Therefore its really all in the major that you wish to pursue:
For Engineering, Agriculture, and other things of the like, North Carolina A&T is your best choice. For Political Science, Nursing, and other Liberal Arts, North Carolin Central is your best bet.
The other aspects of campus life are really only what you make them...
I've been accpetd to NCCU and NC A&T, but i'm not sure which one to choose. For someone who is majoring in busines management, with aspects to go onto law school, and needs more financial help, which school would be best?
This question is completely subjective. Since I'm an alum, I'd say bring it on to NCCU. Hurry up and mkae your decision though, housing on both campuses is filling up quickly this year.
