The big heads at ABC News were planning on turning Nightline into something that Koppel doesn't want. That would not surprise me not one bit. The executives and behind the scenes folk are ALWAYS the one's who drive the great veterans out of the game. Look what happened to Dan Rather. Contrary to popular belief, that wasn't supposed to be HIS story. He was assisting a hell-bent producer who wanted to break the ice on Dubya's war record, but since nobody see's the producer on national TV every night, Rather caught thegreen-****for it.
