I went to a hbcu in tha fall briefly and now I'm at a pwi (well I am at a PWCC-predominately white community college lol) but I'll be at a PWI this fall. I like it...for various reasons...administration here is a lil bit better than at an HBCU, my school is bigger. I like the diversity, even tho I mostly hang out with the black people. I think Prince_MannyX is a better person to talk to, he's made tha switch from a hbcu to a pwi as well.

Well something that is on my level to spread a word about. Well I currently attend a $30,000 a year PWI located in a suburb of Columbus, OH. I left a historic HBCU Wilberforce Univ. All I can say is I totally believe I made the correct choice. However, The cost is outlandish. I also changed my major and Joined my Frat and have gotten involved on the campus. So, If you plan on leaving your Wonderful HBCU then make sure that it's worth it. OH Yes I Do GET MY SHINE ON! I'm a Big Fish in a Little Pond!

Nah I don't mind at all. It was a combination of things...the crazy rules, too far away from my family and my support system, I missed going to school with white people, money issues (even if I would have LOVED Hampton, I would have gotten kicked out due to owing money, I couldn't pay for it), and the list is alot longer than that. Also tha best thing about transferring to a PWI is that it's bigger, and I'll actually be getting financial aid ( I couldn't get sh*t from an HBCU as far as that was concerned)

LOL I corrected my statement about that...I didn't neccesarily HATE it, I just missed going to school with other races. I kinda got sick of looking out the window and only seeing black people. And maybe Hampton just wasn't a good fit for me. I'm thinking about doing a semester at an HBCU through the National Student Exchange in a few years, so we'll see how that goes. I still got love for HBCUs tho...
