i know someone who goes to spelman and she stays in manley, so i think that was i put on my housing app. i hope i dont hate it. well if i do, put manley down so we can hate it together

Manley - I stayed there fr. year. It was cool. We had a really fun dorm week, and crunk parties. It's crazy because everyone reps their freshman dorm and you get dorm colors, strolls and symbols. There is no air conditioning though. But Manley Hall is the freshman dorm that is closest to the gate (something you will learn to appreciate when you are really tired.)
HH - Same as Manley. These dorms are almost identical and are right next to each other. The only difference is that HH has an exercise room in it's basement.
Abby - It's hella far! It is REALLY in the boondocks. But it is one of my favorite dorms, appearance wise. It's an older building and it's rather quaint but has a home-like feel. Since there are fewer girls in that dorm than in any other freshman dorm everyone seems to know each other. Abby also has an exercise room but no air conditioning.
LLC1 - Honors dorm . .. but you dont have to be in the honors program to stay there. There are fewer residents, it's quiet, and they have a computer lab. Most importantly this is the only fr. dorm where you will have air conditioning! I had friends that stayed there and they complained that they felt left out of the fr. experience because LLC1 doesn't ever have as much freshman spirit as the other dorms.
If I had to pick a dorm all over again I would still choose Manley . OMEGA NU! (sorry about that :lol: ) The girls i met there were really cool and the freshman experience is irreplacable. Not having air conditioning wasn't as bad as i thought it would be either. I also wouldn't have ruled out Abby right away. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for. WELCOME TO SPELMAN! My Spelman sister stay in Manely. And I know she loves it.
Basically, most of the freshman dorms on Spelman's campus are nice.
Morehouse on the other hand :roll: THAT's A DIFFERNT STORY!
Well currently I am a Freshman at Spelman and personally I would say that you should stay in HH. Not only are we the largest dorm but we actually have carpet. Manley doesn't have carpet and Abby is too far from the cafe (and trust me you won't want to walk that far). Plus HH is the crunkest dorm on the whole campus. HH is known for having the best parties and the prettiest girls "HH" (Heavenly Hunnies).
