Have any truth to it?
ARIES:
(March 21 - April 19)
Aries is the leader of the zodiac, and thus the Aries parent tends to want to lead the child - sometimes in an almost militaristic manner. Many Aries parents consider themselves the general and the child the private. Thus the child is often treated like something slightly subhuman, and sees him or herself that way. Parents: Your child has concerns. Listen to them. Children: Reason with your Aries mom or dad. Don't go crazy.
TAURUS:
(April 20 - May 20)
Taurus parents are kind, loving, and scrupulous about providing for their children. They are generous in all ways, and want to give the best. Too often, however, that involves working far too much - and expecting endless gratitude for it. Parents: Remember that you are choosing to do this. Give - and then let it go. Your child won't forget. Children: Don't take unfair advantage of your Taurus parent by being overly demanding.
GEMINI:
(May 21 - June 20)
There are Geminis who never really grow up, and so their inner child is still quite active - even once they have kids of their own. These are the parents who seek to be a "pal" to their kids rather than an authority figure. This is fine, but remember that authority is sometimes vital. Parents: Be a pal, yet know when it's appropriate to be a bit heavy-handed. Children: Have fun with mom or dad - but behave.
CANCER:
(June 21 - July 22)
Cancers make kind and loving parents, and can be suffocative with doing their best for their children. They feel the kids' upsets and pain as their own. Too often, however, Cancerian parents have too many emotional issues of their own to do much about it. Parents: Face and resolve your own issues so that you can empower your kids to overcome theirs. Children: Talk to your parents. Make them listen.
LEO:
(July 23 - August 22)
Leos make perhaps the best parents of all zodiacal signs. They are scrupulous and responsible, yet they are still in many ways children themselves, and thus can relate to their kids and how they feel. Like Gemini, they can be pals to their kids - but, as Leo is the sign of royalty, they can be strict when the occasion calls for it: Parents: Be a king or queen with your children - but a just and noble one! Children: Be loyal but honest subjects!
VIRGO:
(August 23 - September 22)
Children of Virgos often have a hard time because Virgos tend to be overly critical. Virgos, remember that every word you say will make a very deep impression on a child's psyche. If criticism is necessary, be tactful rather than harsh, and balance it with an equal amount of praise. Parents: There is no excuse for bruising your child's ego any more than absolutely necessary. Children: Try not to take such criticism too hard.
LIBRA:
(September 23 - October 22)
Children of Libras, was your mom or dad constantly attacking your behavior, your clothes, your friends because he or she was afraid of what the neighbors would think? Did they expect you to live your life in a manner that they considered socially correct? Many find this unreasonable. Parents: Remember that your kids are individuals - not just cogs in a wheel. Children: Be yourself - but try not to embarrass mom or dad.
SCORPIO:
(October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio parents love their kids in a near-obsessive manner - and can be very possessive of them as well. Often they are jealous of their children's friends, teachers, hobbies, and so on. But at other times, Scorpio parents seem to retreat into a world of their own - and their kids feel shut out. Parents: When you retreat, explain to your family that you have ideas to work out. Children: Give your mom or dad space.
SAGITTARIUS:
(November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians have a flourishing inner child - and thus they love playing with their kids. However, they can also be overly idealistic, expecting standards of behavior or scholarship that verge on the impossible. Often they expect kids with no athletic inclination to go out for sports anyway, which can be tortuous. Parents: Let your kids follow their hearts - within reason. Children: Do your best - but don't obsess.
CAPRICORN:
(December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn parents all too often view love as giving their children as many material benefits as possible. The downside of this is that they spend way too many hours working and not enough getting to know their kids. It's important to remember that moderation is best in all things. Parents: Slow down. Your kids need you as much as they need their material comforts. Children: Try to really understand your workaholic mom or dad.
AQUARIUS:
(January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians often espouse radical ideas that many consider strange, or even dangerous. Aquarians are rebels at heart, and often children of Aquarians are embarrassed by mom or dad's weird lifestyle - especially when those lifestyles keep the parents away from them. Parents: Explain to your kids why you do what you do - and spend more time with them. Children: Your parents want to build a better world. Admire them for it.
PISCES:
(February 19 - March 20)
Pisces parents tend to be fussbudgets and worrywarts, and thus they fear the worst if their children are out of their sight for a moment. The children don't understand why their Pisces mom freaked out and dragged them inside when all they were doing was playing with their friends. Parents: Keep a close eye on your children, but don't turn them into prisoners. Children: When you're out, check in with mom or dad frequently to reassure them.

My mom is a gemini and we have always been close. She's the one who solved every what seemed unfixable problem, she's the one that taught me about the birds and the bees, and even took me to get BC when I needed it.
Don't get it twisted, she is the highest authority figure in my life. I would say that me and my mom have the perfect relationship. She gets on my nerves sometimes, but my mom is 35 ( I'm about to be 20) and she is like my best friend.
My mom and I are both Scorpios and I wouldn't say she is obsessed with me but I know she spends a lot of time thinking about me and my well-being. She will worry for me before she worries for herself.
This does not apply to my parents at all. My mother is a taurus and my father is a capricorn. My parents are the polar opposite of their respective signs.

In a way it's true, and in a way it's not. We are the same sign so I guess I understand. But I know she's there. And yeah i've never wanted for anything, she always has made sure that we have.
same here. my mother is a gemini and she does not have an inner child in her and ALWAYS represent an authority figure....
my father is a sagittarius my father expects a lot from us, but he isnt "overly idealistic."

A lot of times my mom is very analytical and she over criticizes things. And sometimes my mom tends to criticize more then complement my accomplishments, but that's what makes her "mommy" =-) . If she wasn't like that I think I'd be a totally different person.
