Ok I kno greeks are really strict a bout their colors and stuff so I have a question....When non greeks wear greek colors is it wrong? I mean green, pink, red, blue, white, gold...and normal colors that everyone wear but I always see people say she was wrong for wearing abc colors or he was wrong for sporting xyz colors. Sorry if this is confusing but I didnt kno how to say it.

Wearing them around is cool. Wearing the colors of a particular organization to any of that same organization's events is not cool.

Folkz are entitled to wear whatever the heck they want. No particular org OWNS a color. Can't tell u how often i see folkz in royal blue and white, and have to do a double take to make sure it isn't soror or frat. I can't be mad about it, royal blue & white existed before my org did. HOWEVER, like laidbackfella said, if u are going to an event that is hosted by a certain org, and u are proudly rockin their colors, that looks a lil questionable.

i agree...and i feel the same way that they do...yes it does make you kinda leary to wear certain colors..I know at my school it does...but sometimes you have to slap yourself and realize that those colors dont mean anything to you specifically in reference to what organization you are not apart of... But i wouldnt be caught **** in an organization's colors at a party or comeout show or anything like that....That is whats called "social ****!" :?

if it was an AKA party, then you might not want to wear pink. if it was a non-greek party, by all means, wear pink. Basically, there is an understanding that colors existed before orgs, but when it comes to specific orgs, it is in error of protocol to be at a sponsored event or greek event for that matter, rocking their colors.... Also, like kenyaeyes said, if you have made it plain that you are interested, wearing their colors is not proving how good you'd look in them, but rather showing disrespect.
