Spelman is a real special school let me just say that first. You can expect a lot of things like:
1. When taking ADW expect to feel stupid for not knowing what whites really did to blacks during slavery and the decades that followed (some of my friends are actually racist after taking this class)
2. Expect to always be on time to EVERYTHING, spelman starts everything on time: classes, parties, everything. Never be late because your peers will look at you crazy.
3. Expect to say things to yourself like "I had a 4.0 in highschool, and a 27 on the ACT, why the hell do I only have a 3.6 GPA"(well that's what i said atleast), there are so many girls that are smarter than you here, expect to be on the same level as everyone else, in high school you probably graduated salutatorian or something like that but realize that the other 500 ladies in your class also graduated as salutatorians or whatever.
4. Expect to be hungry at 10 p.m. because the cafe closes at 6:30 on the dot.
5. Expect nasty cafe food, they make it good during Spelbound but in reality it's poo.
6. Expect to rep your dorm like it's greek i.e. strolls, calls, chants
7. Expect to have the best time in your life, Spelman is the #1 school for black females, take advantage of everything and don't forget to get involved. :lol:

well this is alot to answer . . . i'll refer youto "The Truth About Spelman" post. . . some frehwomen wrote it and i think they cover your questions pretty well.
Damn I'm mad...my mom doesn't want me to go to Spelman at all and she won't let me go to Spelbound...
But, it's ok, I'm already enrolled.
