me & my homegurl silnettra had this discussion a few weeks ago......she was asking me how i feel about people who don't "look" homeless...but claim to be and r on the side of the street, asking random people for money...
i happened to mention to her that i've said to my friends many times be4...that if i were homeless...extremely hungry & desperate...i wouldn't have a problem with going into, say, a grocery store...grabbing a banana...& taking it to the bathroom 2 nourish myself......hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right? i wouldn't be hurting anyone...
she @ 1st said that was wrong 'cause that would be stealing...but then she saw where i was coming from....BUT....THAT conversation evolved into....what would i do if i went into a gas station or grocery store bathroom...& saw someone who i KNOW isn't poor...maybe eating a bag of chips or somethin'......would i tell...
she said she WOULD tell.....
i said i wouldn't....
she said she'd tell because that wouldn't be fair....that she has to pay for what she came to buy...and he/she doesn't....
i said i wouldn't because that isn't my business....and God see it all - that person will get his/hers in due time, if he/she is just being greedy....
i also told her what bothers me MUCH MORE is when i see people cheating in school......like, when i've stayed up ALL NIGHT working on a HARD homework assignment...or studying like hell for a difficult test....to only the next day see someone come to class & copy the answers off of someone else's homework or test (whether the 2nd party knows it or not)...
now THAT pisses me OFF....however....i never have squealed on anyone i knew was cheating...ever....'cause i still feel like they will get theirs in time......but DAMMIT...STILL ENRAGES ME!!
anywayz, my homegurl Jackie feels the same as Silnettra....she says she wouldn't care as much if she knew someone else were cheating.....but to know someone else is stealing....that bothers her......and see, her argument was a LIL' understandable......she was saying that when people steal, prices go up....'cause the business has to make up for lost inventory....okay, i can understand THAT....but not just based on what Silnettra was saying....
and as for me....truthfully....i'm not quite sure why knowing someone is stealing for no reason wouldn't bother me....and seeing someone cheating in school does....
now let me just say...that knowing someone is stealing really expensive things....like television sets....stereos...digital cameras & the like....that does bother me a bit........but little things like....chips...candy...& such....i know i'm not gonna do it...but if i see someone else doing it, i'm still not gonna care as much as knowing someone is cheating....
maybe it's because i don't know what the circumstances of that person stealing is....not saying that justifies anything....but i really don't, lol...whereas usually people who cheat...know GOOD AND WELL they could've done the work, just like me & the next person....yet chose not to (or got their priorities so out of wack to where they just didn't handle their business)........and ALSO because....EVERYone knows i am a PROCRASINATOR....so for me, CHEATING would be SOOOOOO CONVENIENT.....but i just can't do it....so no matter how long it takes, no matter how much effort, time, and energy i have to put in....the end result - whether good or bad - will be ALL ME (unless it's a group project or something)....PERIOD...no exceptions...
but would or do seeing someone do either of these two things bother you? if so, which? do you care? why or why not?
I see it as it is not my business. To tell you the truth if I saw either one, I would probably die laughing. The thing with cheatin in class is, they do what they do because, the person can't cheat forever. It will catch up to them lata. As far as the person stealin,,,they on tappe so hey. Like I said at first iit's all funny to me.

Sike nah, but I wouldn't care regardless. I'd actually protect the homeless dude from being caught tho. I got a big spot in my heart for homeless I've realized. I've given them all the money I've had on me before, even if it meant I'd have to go a day without eating, cuz I know they've had to do worse every day.
Cheating I totally despise. I never cheat. I would rather guess and pray God help me get the answer right
As far as stealing, that is there business but I don't steal personally
As far as telling, that's a hell naw for both in my book
I mean cheating doesnt bother me to an extent...Like Ill be the 1st to admit that me and the person sitting next to me in class maight like...if I dont know one nudge me and Ill do the same on a multiple choice test. What I despise about people who cheat hard is those who have old copies of the test and make copies for there friends and bring the papers to class and cheat from them like that. They dont even make an attempt to study at all...they rely STRICTLY on their cheat sheets. I dont think thats nearly as bad as me studying hard and not knowing #27 and askinmy neighbor which one it is, and that be that. Granted cheating is cheating...but there are different degrees of it.
As far as stealing...a person who is poor stealing food doesnt bother me...But people who basically commit Grand Larceny stealing clothes, electronics, etc and they have money...that sh*t irritates me.
But like Meya said, the way I feel about the cheaters and thiefs is that it aint my business to snitch on anyone, they will get theirs in life, so it dont even matter.
sh!t, although that homeless person is stealing, that nourishment is a blessing for him...and i'm sure that store that has a gross of $100 million a year won't miss that 25 cent bag of doritos...as long as he wasn't exposing himself to me in the bathroom like that one homeless cat in atlanta...
yeah i dunno but i just don't find cheating wrong...i mean i know it is and God says it is...but i dunno it just hasn't clicked in with me yet for some reason...
