i like seeing how our race has came along way and how far we're going...i like seeing the different shades of color...i like my curves and my hair...i like seeing stuff that only black folks would do yall know what i'm talkin bout....i just like being black...

-Having the strongest, most beautiful, most compatible, type of companion/mother/sister/etc., the BLACK WOMAN -Knowing how my ancestors and predecessors have overcome past many obstacles and hurdles - Proving wrong many negative stereotypes that are associated with our race.

-that this country was built on our backs -the hbcus...there's nothing else like them! (even tho I don't go to one) -just being a black woman...not only do black men want us, but also men of other races want us as well! Next to being hispanic, we're the most wanted women of America! (in my opinion) -like Monte said, being able to overcome the stereotype of being an Urban black who's only into hip-hop...people get shocked when I tell them that I listen to Maroon 5, Switchfoot, Salsa, etc. -we are the originators of hip-hop culture and it's funny how white kids and kids of other races are trying to emulate it...same thing with r&b/blues

My complexion, My hair, My walk, My attitude, My stregnth, My family, Our soul food, everything about us. I mean what other race can be oppressed and still come out strong and proud.
