Why the fukk they had to find the blackest child and twist his head like devil horns, then put him next to a blue eyed blonde haired white "angel"

Clearly they tried to make the little black boy look like a devil, unless they wanted him to look like some kind of horned animal. They could've shown "united colors" in a much more thoughtful way than that. Simply based on the children's expressions you can tell the advertisers wanted you to have different, opposite if you wish, feelings about these 2 children.

I guess it's just a matter of personal perception. And that ad is kinda old anyways. I think the statement they were trying to make may be something different than what is "clearly" obvious in the photo. Maybe if you look deeper, you could see that also.

What's obvious in this ad is that, there's a white girl and a little black boy embracing each other and they are thus "uniting colors". The deeper connotation shows the little white girl as being angelic with the smiling face and shirley temple curls and shows the black boy who is the exact opposite from the white girl; frowing face, dark skin, and devilish hair. If the ad was as cut and dry to most people as simply "uniting colors", Benetton wouldn't have pulled the ad like they did.
