I have had the good and the better when it comes to roomates. The dorms Ive lived in thus far have both had private bathrooms that I and the three girls in my suite shared and that was a B@#%*. We constantly had this thing where someone didnt keep with the schedule and clean up. Some chicks are just nasty, I mean really, how hard is it just to clean up after yourself. I had two suite mates that never cleaned when it was their turn, they simply let the week go by and waited for it to be on someone else. (Remeber to keep a ready supply of lysol and other cleaning products)
As for my roomates. I was closer with my roomate sophmore year then I was freshman year. My roomate sophmore year was became like a sister to me. We did everything together and got along great. The only fight we really had was when we realized we wouldnt be in the same school or be sharing an apartment or even seeing each again.
My advice to you is to be willing to compromise, and let the small stuff go. Do that and life will be much easier.

yea man :x that used to really urk me...then she had the nerve to ask me to be roomates again...I was like nooooooo
My roommate used to use my ****w/o askin all the time.....I finally proved everybody wrong about me bein paranoid when I caught his **** on camera toward the end of the semester :lol: :lol: :lol:
Other than that, we never really talked or hung out......we were opposites :arrow:

College Mom was bad as a roomie.
I was a neat freak and the girl I got (PWI) was a true alcoholic. She would drink all darn day and night. When she wasn't drinkin she was sleep, most times not by herself. So, I told the RA, RD AND Dean of Students on her. She drank that cheap Southern Comfort and she would puke, **** and all that especially on the weekends which for her was Thursday-Monday.
They gave me a solo room and told me that the next semester a Japanese exchange student would room with me. So, I was cool for the first semester. The exchange student came and got a boy friend off campus so I never saw her...never.
Folks wanted to room with me but I knew I was over the top neat, went to bed early and loved to study. My parents ponied up the money and made sure I had a single room throughout.
I gotta make this quick cuz i gotta go to work in a few.....but i would highly advise u to room with someone u are aquainted with already.....HIGHLY recommend that.
Freshman Year: Roomate #1=turned out to be some psycho (and yes she was black)....she jus was crazy (she was scared of the dark...and would run around screaming) and it was to the point where i thought my life was being threatedned...lol-it seems funny now but back then i was concerned....she was also dirty-DISTUSGTING to the point i walked in the room one day and wanted to urrrl....i cant go into details about that rite now tho--->
Roomate #2 (still freshman year)=she was cool at first, some puerto rican chick.....but then i dont know-Satan came and they became best friends cuz that child is the devil. She was really nasty to the point she would make my room stink....yuckk.
Sophomore Year: Well the first semester no one had roomates-everyone had singles because we were in a Hotel. But now that we are in the dorm.....my roomate is pretty cool-its some things i dont like about her, of course, no one is perfect-but compared to the other atrocities of roomates ive had so far-she is the best one....i hope. But i am tryin to be roomates with my friend next year, jus to eliminate any future problems. :???:
My Freshman year my roommate and I got along but we had a spell where we didn't talk and she was on some ignorant ****then. Her boyfriend stayed 7 hours away and would drive down and she would sneak him in the room without letting me know. He transferred to A&M the second semester and was always there. He would ask me could he massage my feet and tell me how thick my friends and I were. One night he slept in there and I felt him touch my damn feet! Anyway, she wasn't that clean either and her bed had BBQ stains in it and it smelled like burgers. Ugh :sick:
My sophomore year I picked a friend to be my roommate. She was cool but she was never there. She ended up getting pregnant and leaving so they moved someone else in. She reminded me so much of my rommate from my freshman year. She turned out to be cool but she was always sick and cold so she would have the heat on eighty. I get an attitude when I'm hot so I would be **** coming into an eighty degree room after walking from class in the heat. She used to steal from stores in the mall too...I wonder if she got me for anything :???: I have so much stuff I wouldn't know. I have more gripes but I don't feel like typing anymore.
My advice is hope you get a cool roommate and I wouldn't room with a friend unless it was an apartment because its likely you won't be friends by the Summer.
