Serving your country for atleast 1 year should be mandatory for all American citizens. People need a pride in their country and need something bigger than themselves to worry about. Thunder

I remember getting a couple calls from the military. My brother just graduated and they were callin him also. All they ever got from me was the dial tone. The military is not for me and it's definately not where I'm trying to be. I am all that I can be without the military.

When I can get my country to do the smallest things like fixing potholes in streets then I might consider that.

I take pride in my country but if I don't want to serve in the armed forces, or believe in fighting like that, that's my business...but I also won't say that I would never do it, you just never know. I have a great deal of respect for the armed forces. I got family that has been or is in the military. Are you in the military sir? I applaud you if you are.
