It's my project. I'm moving up to 125 and have put on a nice amount of weight already, however, I'm not too intelligent on the whole protein/proper weight gain thing.
Someone educate me be it they have the time.
Im doing the same thing...
One of the guys in my speech class is like 6'5 and weighs nearly 240, all muscle. Your muscles need to grow, so I'd say getting some protein shake formula (its gritty as hell) will help you. Creatine is good only if you take it as the bottle says and no more.
For bulking up, the excersizes are more extreme than if you were just toning because youre actually trying to burn fat. You end up breaking down muscle too, so that new muscle can be built on top of it and thats where the creatine and protein come in handy. Things WITH protein are good, and eating meaty things like burgers and steaks and potatoes are just as good, but make sure you couple everything with a healthy work out and alot of water (and bananas).
I cant wait till I get completely toned...gotta take pics...
Don't take that Sh*t for like 12 months...take it for like 3...See what all this stuff does is give you that "boost" you need to get up there...because some people don't have that "Country Boy" Strength in their Genes...I know I didn't...I come from a Basketball Family who is lanky and tall...the big chest,Massive Body I have now, I have now...I had to earn that Sh*t...
and you have to keep working out....or you will get fat like I did senior year.......It was funny....I had my Testicular Torision Surgery and just sat on my **** all Summer and I still got All-Mobile Press Register Team....Thank God for Technique. :-)
Yea, I stopped playin football my senior year and I fell off so much. I want to walk-on during maybe my soph or Jr. year tho depending on whether I can get into good shape, because when I was playing football I was 185 playing offensive guard so ya know that's not poppin off in college. I'm tryn to shed some fat and build some muscle. Get up to maybe 210, 215. Ay, that surgery sound painful tho.
You should get your diet right before you start taking any supplements IE protein, creatine, No2(lol), etc etc. That's why they are called supplements :o because they are supposed to be taken in addition to your normal diet.
This is a link to a website that has very good articles on bulking up, getting big, whatever you want to call it. this article is called "6 skinny guy mistakes"http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do;jsessionid=5F78B3DC24A61A8DE0DDD81DCB1E52D3.hydra?id=668319
this is another good article on nutrition.

oh my stats are
weight:235lbs
bench:350
squat: 530
DL: 600
40:4.78- thats high because I took 2 years off from HS football to college and I had a knee injury, so that's my excuse, but I ran a 4.5 at the beggining of my senior year in HS.
I worry about using stuff like that.
I used to play football(QB), as a matter of fact I played this past spring after the baseball season was over. Anyway, I worry about blowing up too much. I just do the regular work outs, like push ups, bench press, squat, and stuff like that. I mean I'm not that big but my power has increased and I 'm getting a little more toned.
I just eat meat, drink milk, and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to gain a little more weight though.

there can be a bad side to lifting all those weights too....I myself, learned this when I went to Tuskegee and saw all these big ****....they were like "I can hit 225 30 times"....Sh*t I was like "I can hit it 6 times"....but on the field...that Sh*t dosent mean anything....when you lift all those weights..you become robotic....you can't move and you don't have flexibility....one of the reasons I could hold my own against those 350 ****...they were slow and super sloppy ...and had no technique....
What is your regular workout?
I really do want to build my size and increase my stregnth.

215?.....bro..thats a friggin Tailback or Wideout...if you don't have an feet...ur done for unless you can snap...you can get around 220 and just deep snap....I'm 270 and I'm considered small by every NCAA College in the United States then my teamates at TU made fun of me saying I looked less than that because of my genetic lankyness and height....but yea....it was painful...I was on 600 MG Hydrocodone for days and I couldnt sit down in a chair or walk straight....it made me constipated as well.. >=(...but anyways....Here is another good thing I found....Swimming...since I work at NYSP and teach swimming before each class comes in...I hit a few laps without stopping....front **** stroke....Man....talk about a workout...it uses all of your muscles.....it tones your body up well....
Yea I'm gonna be in the backfield or a saftey. I'm pretty sure I would of been able to be a full back in h.s. but we had a crappy offense formation.
in terms of gaining mass, u gotta lift heavy with a few reps.....but i find that u get stronger from lifting lighter but with more reps... i used 2 beast in the weight room, and i ended up plateauing(i couldnt get any stronger), but i started doin more reps with lighter, now my bench is about 270, wide chest press is bout 450, and individual dumbell curl is bout 60/arm , but ive always been stronger than i look, plus football does ****for u (i played free safety/cornerback myself)
if you happen to have an ectomorphic body type(thin, burns fat easily, built for endurance rather than strength), like me(6'1" -181 lbs) and dude above this post, you were built to be thin and unless you up on your diet and beast in the weight room, you wont grow... we usually have to put in 3 times the work of a mesomorphic type(built for putting on muscle) and endomorphic types(can put on mass but hard to lose fat).
but then again, arnold schwartzenegger was a "girly man" himself when he was younger, an ectomorph by his natural build... and hes swole as shyt. so it aint impossible. id advise u tho 2 stay away from some of them supplements, they may do more harm than good if u dont use them right.
