Im not greek, but I personally know people who transferred to FAM from somewhere else and pledged. But I think all the Divine 9 require 30 hours...so I think as long as u have that along with all the other requirements I dont think it should matter that you transferred....but I'll let a Greek address this seein as how they would know for sure...

In my Sorority, you need to have successfully completed at least one semester at the school as a full-time student (12 hours) prior to the semester you pursue Her. Mind you (and I'm pretty sure that this goes for the other organizations as well), you may have to work twice as hard to be noticed as the other prospects who may have been there longer than you and were able to get to know the members. I was in the same situation you were in. I was a transfer student and I had to stand out above the ladies who had been there since their freshman year. I went to EVERYTHING and got to know my future sorors. Be encouraged, however, it is absolutely possible if you're willing to see it through. Good luck in your pursuits! #13--Prima Donna

My soror is correct. One of my neos is a transfer and she worked EXTREMELY hard to make line. I saw this girl at every event and she was always friendly, polite, and took a sincere interest in each member of the chapter. Honestly, as a transfer, you have to work harder than the other interests who have been around since their frosh or soph year.

Thanks for the advice. I'm glad that I will be a sophomore transfer student as opposed to a junior transfer so that I will have more time to get to know the young ladies of the organization and attend more functions and events sponsored by the organization.

yes babydoll, please do that. I can see u are new poster, so here's a lil messageboard tip from me to u as far as the greek forum is concerned....never give away too much detail on your personal life/personal information if u are an interest. *Discretion is key*...even on the net . As for the transfer thing, each school is different. U may have to dig a lil deeper and do a lil research (:idea on the requirements of the particular chapter u are interested in.
