I go to the Nappturality board and other Napptural websites as well. But why don't we have our own little thread? I get overwhelmed sometimes going there cause I feel like I need to read every posts and I know I can't do that.

I've been natural for so long, like i only got a perm once. and that was like back in 1997 so lol, but, i have naturaly straight hair, the only problem is it wont curl at all
But, what i do is usually wash it, braid it, rod it, and let it dry then take it out and its curly, or i wash it, and pull it into a bun, or i strighten it using a flat iron. For me there are limited hairstyles because of my straight hair, wearing it out after its been washed makes it look like i got a perm so i rarely do that. I use motions **** moisturizer, gel, indian hemp and this stuff i dunno what its called, i also use **** sheen lol
i didn't know about nappturality until now, i really should check it out cause i usually just flat iron it cause i have no idea what to do with this mess.
So what is your weekly/daily regimen? Um, I wash it about every few days or so. Sometimes I wash it and blowdry it straight, other times I wash it and rollerset it, the go over it with a curling iron when its dry, or sometimes I braid it when its wet and take it out when its dry. Wearing it straight is my easiest option because its kinda like a perm, but with more volume.
Transitioner or always been natural? Trasitioner. When I was 16, I decided to grow up my perm by keeping braids in my hair. At 18 I wa natural but I was suprised by how short it was because my hair had been permed all my life. So I got a really weak perm to ease the transition. Bad move, so I did it once, then grew that out and cut was left of it off earlier this year. I miss perms at times, but I love that my hair is healthy and full and strong.
What are your favorite products? I like shampoo by Phyto, anything John Frieda, that hair mayonaise deep conditioner that all the black people use, Neutrogena Triple Moisture
I've been natural for about a year now and i love it. I got a perm when i went into 7th grade. I grew my perm out because my hair was too sensitive for even the weakest perm, it was always breaking off. I grew it out by having my hair braided for about a year. I cut the ends to make sure all the perm was out. My hair was pretty long at first, then i had to cut off my split ends.
I wash and condition my hair maybe once or twice a week with Pantene Pro V for natural hair. I put cholesterol after in it for about 3 - 5 mins and then rinse it out. I havent found a good leave in conditioner yet. Before i blow dry my hair i put Nature's Therapy Perfect Curl in my hair to help my curl patternI grease my scalp every two days with Bronner Bros. Super Gro. I use Neutrogena Triple Moisture everyday. When i style my hair i use Neutrogena Triple Moisture and Smooth n Shine Conditionigh Gel when i want to twist my hair for the extra hold. Last but not least i always braid my hair up before i go to bed no matter the style.
My favorite product is Neutrogena Triple Moisture, it's wonderful

Well when it's braided I **** my scalp when i need to wit African Pride **** or olive ****. I go to bed in a silk scarf only. When it's pressed I basically do the same thing but I sleep in a silk bonnet. When I just finished washing it and its just out like Luda in da summer I **** my scalp and put some Pink Lotion in it. Sometimes I put shea butter on my scalp and blow dry my hair out.
I've always been natural
I like African Pride, Luster's Pink ****, and those Taliah Waaijid products. Yall should try to get some Carol's Daughter products, the rosemary/peppermint shampoo or conditioner in particular. It's a lil expensive though.
hmm do I have any natural recipes. I put shea butter on my hair before and covered my hair wit a plastic shower cap and sat under a dryer for a lil while. That made my hair soft. Ooooooh how could I forget, wth is the name of that stuff *goes to mama's baffroom* Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue. Yes that is the name. It smells good and makes your hair soft. You suppose to put that stuff on and twist or rod your hair and it'll make it curl all pretty.
But me, I'm natural and all but I dont wear afros and whatever around. I'll sport my afro puffs but only cuz I just washed my hair and I'm about to get it braided in a week. I'm more of a press and curl girl.
^I could see myself sporting the Afro once my hair is 100% natural. My hair is growing really fast so hopefully once I get my braids and take them out, I'll have a pretty nice sized fro.
