my mom grew up(her teenage years) in the 70's so she loves he soul/ funk music and she always gets on me that theres no good music around and blah blah blah. but one thing she said to me was so funny i had to pass it on... you see it all the time, tina turner, the temptations, isley brothers, etc... they all still perform well into their 50's 60's on these awards shows that honor their music. big dea,l why? cuz their dance moves back them weren't even that complicated!lol! that shooby doo wop , 1, 2 stepping back then.... of course they stilll got it when they're old!lol! they sang about good, joyful stuff and the fans were happy. but now let's jump to the future.. oh boy this is gonna be funny as hell could you image the following artists performing their hits while in the 50's & 60's? lol lol! 50 Cent/ P.I.M.P(oh my god, say it aint so) ciara/ 1 2 step (she'll step and go ahead and break a hip in the process) omarion/ touch (no one will want to touch that poor boy ) usher / yeah (yeah, come on) destiny's child/ lose my breath (they'll be out of breath) the list goes on and on, lol.................... so what does this mean for us when we are older and those artist(those who stick around long enough) win those lifetime awards, etc, will we ever see it as good as it was cuz the lyrics are too **** or the dance moves are to complex for an old person to do? i envy my mother and other adults who watch these shows and it takes them back to the "happy days of childhood, young adult hood cuz they see it just like it was the first time around, with the exception of a color television, lol what do you think?
