I think as always this works both ways. It's just a part of our nature as women to look for our mate to be someone who provides us with a feeling of security(whether it be financially, physical, or otherwise). We want our mate to be able to provide for us as much as we could for them. I don't think that makes women gold diggers. But men on the other hand don't look for that same level of security in their mate, so if they like a women who makes less money then them it's not that much of an issue for them. And I think men get in situations like those Pac and Tyson were in because they put themselves in those situations. If they had thought with the big head on their shoulders and not the little head in their pants it wouldn't even had gone down like that. And what he said about women dating the same 10-20% of men that everyone else is dating, dudes do the same thing. Especially since I've been in college I've seen how the males always like to gravitate to a certain few girls while all the other girls are pushed to the side, for unknown reasons. I know that b/c I was one of the girls who's been pushed to the side most of my life. And what does Banner have against Kappas and Ques? lol

Well I feel like it's really hard for women to protest against being degraded when you have the many of those already degrading ourselves. And I'm sure we or we will talk dirty in the heat of passion one time or another. Is it just wrong because it's done publicly?

I was just jokin about the Kappa, Que thing lol But I can agree wit the fact that some women only want men because of their status. But as with anything else that's just some women but not all. I hope that if Banner is gonna talk about this in a book he's gonna be talkin about women in general and not just black women b/c we have NOTHIN on white girls. They can just see the potential in a man and pounce on them lol.

True, I mean I am guessin he's talkin bout all girls. Personally, I think white girls can be worst overall, but I go to a HBCU so all I see is black girls and how they act so its hard to judge it by race.

Truth in his own experience. This dude cannot speak for other males and surely can't say anything for the rest of us black females. Furthermore, i think people set themselves up to be played. Instead of looking for what really matters, many only care about appearance and status.(please guys, don't sit here and say that females only do this!!!)

Cosign. I think we had that discussion already. Men are pickier than women.

He is somewhat right, but the women ARE out there. I can attest to that. I'm not the greatest of all guys, but to her, I sure am. Let's just put it this way. Next summer is going to cost me a fortune and a half.

As far as appearance, I can't really judge who's pickier because it goes all ways for diff males n females. But for status, I'd definitely say females are MUCH worst than dudes are, especially in college. I know that not all females are on that tip, but it's evident just from the fact that there are groupies for everything on campus. There are some "male groupies" and dudes who like to brag "yeah I was wit a (insert greek org) last nite" but in general, dudes usually could care less when they are actually tryin to get with a girl. But many females who might not even have any status will try to judge dudes on theirs, and they definitely give special attention to those who have it.
