Most of us are Satanists by definition, does it have to do with man's actions, or government in general?

perhaps you'd get more cooperation, if you had a lil'(read: a lot) more clarification...although I am rather interested in seeing where you're goin' with this...

Some food for thought: Satanism is not the worship of Satan. Satanism is not evil nor good. Satanism is the advancement of oneself without submission to a diety. Power in living your life to the fullest is the concept. The acknowledgement that by attaining status in the world, you primarily take from others, mostly whom will never achieve their goals. If we weren't satanists in a major aspect, we wouldn't be working to get money. We wouldn't be buying useless baubles to help us enjoy our time on Earth. We wouldn't be going to school to attain our degrees so we become better and are treated with higher regard in society. That is Satanism. Difficult concept. It tends to be the path I follow, I try to switch to Taoism; but I'm not all worldly tree-hugger quite yet.

That's an interesting concept...However, what about those who attain degrees and credit that to God, Allah, etc?...Is that not submitting acheivement to the will of a deity?... Working to get money, that's kinda sticky in itself...Because yeah, there are folks who wor for the sake of becoming rich...But don't the majority of us work to survive?...I mean, granted, we don't need a radio, jewelry or paintings to survive, but couldn't that concept be applied to choosing amongst the taste of foods we eat?...In truth, all we need is the nutrients not the flavor.... I might have some more questions/comments later, but that's all that jumps out right now...

Now did you attain this degree for the glory of God, to become closer to Him? I can't think of many who would do that, nor can I think of many possible facets in which someone would. Satanism is a the means, not the ends. The way we go about things is Satanism. In today's society, in America atleast, it is utterly impossible to avoid it. People tend to see Satanism as evil, anti-christs. No, those are Theistic Goths. There is no right and wrong truthfully between the Christian way and the Satanic way. If some bum was living in my house, I could feed him, clothe him and help him get back on his feet. Or I could murder him for being a blight upon humanity. Both are logical options, neither are truly wrong in the scheme of things.

I hear you...and I'll agree that it's not necessarily a belief in Satan...But isn't Satanism, you touched on it earlier, more of a belief in self credit?...That is, the concept that nobody is responsible for your ups or downs other than yourself...They're often referred to as "Left-Handers" as opposed to the Abrahmic (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) "Right-Handers"... I agree, there are a LOT of people, Abrahmic and others alike, who do not recognize their deity (if they have one) for their accomplishments...Instead there is teh "all by myself" mentality... I'ma guess your degree question was rhetorical more than specifically directed...But as an example, I'm a Physics major...And as much as my own personal interests are in the field of science, I also chose this path to, in a sense, grow closer to Him...Very often many people would delight at the chance to witness a canvas come to life by the hands of Monet or a blank sheet filled by the hands of Ellington...It's for that same reason why I desire to witness His workings through His basic tools of physics... Granted, that's just me, lol...And this is a good post, wish more folks threw their thoughts, POV on here...
