We are all aware of the recent transition of our beloved Rosa Parks. I am working in the Public School system in a 11th and 12th grade US History Honors. The public school system is so crappy that the curriculum does not give room for us to discuss this HISTORIC moment. Being a Black man, this **** ME OFF. Being the rebellious person I am, I took my lecture for today and talked about Rosa Parks. I may receive a bad report for this but it was needed....History can not be put in such a box as the Public school system has put it in....Makes me not want to teach history after graduation.

As a teacher I guess you have the responsiblity to teach what you feel is neccessary. Even if you risk going against what the school board says...
