Ok... What are you passionate about? That is the foundation of a good paper. If you are reading the Tatum book then that gives me a clue... Possible Public Policy Topics From Dr. Tatum's Book: *Public Education *Intergration and Education in America *Class Issues in Education *Race in Education You could also get creative and introduce possible Public Policy specific to the topics raised in the book. For example...The Cafeteria as a social or educational destination...Make the parallel to the Lunch Counters from the Civil Rights Movements...move your thoughts to todays "cafeteria's" such as the faculty dining room at your own school... Are all of the black faculty and staff sitting together in there too...why? What could public policy (law, regulation, program or procedure) do about that? Who is responsible for this policy introduction? How will this public policy be implemented and evaluated? You can also take this into today's restaurants from the low end (fast food) to the high end ( reservations or membership mandatory) dining establishments. Do your research. You can use the phone or google on the internet to get a feel for what is going on. See if the blacks are also sitting together (tables close by) or if they are scattered through out the dining establishment....Why? Why not? Is there a unspoken public policy at work here? You can take a host of perspectives and be creative with what Public Policies you would entertain to "correct, balance or eliminate" what you deem inappropriate. I hope this helps you a little. I also suggest that you google "public policy" so that you make get a feel for the HUGE range of definitions of what public policy is and can be. Good luck!

College Mom is correct, but don't be stupid about it, like most public policy papers I read. You want to make cheap and affordable healthcare for impoverished communities. Okay....how? Where will you get the money? Who will adversely be affected by this? Why won't they want this bill to pass? Do the majority agree with this policy? How are you going to convince peopl to trust in your policy? But most importantly... What is in it for the losing side.

a 10 paged paper i'm passionate on a lot this would be a breeze for me ummmmm i'll give u 1 conformity! talk about how people are forced to conform to what the dominant culture says is right and what happens when they don't. leaders and followers. use your own personal experiences to talk about times where u seen this happen. think about that psychology experiment where they had 6 students and a teacher. the subject (person being tested) comes in and all of them were asked to point out the biggest shape in the picture and to say it aloud when they went around the circle. and the way in which they were sitting was a semi circle so everyone could see everyone and the subject was sitting on the end. the 6 students beforehand were told to all say the same WRONG answer. and this was done to see if the subject would conform and knowingly just go along with what everyone else is saying. the asian girl did NOT conform. the white guy DID. VERY interesting and they both said it was VERY hard for them because they couldn't understand why everyone was saying the smallest shape was the largest. for that insectional analysis focus on their racial identities and their gender. the white MALE conformed which says what? the asian FEMALE conformed which says what? asians are not afraid to stand outside of the box. neither are females. males do wanna follow what society says is right. whites do what everyone else does. i wonder how a Black guy or girl would do especially when everyone was white how many Blacks would just say what the whites were saying because they don't wanna stand out and look "dumb" hmmmmm

:lol: what i tell u about talking to me like you're crazy for some odd reason it makes me laugh but check yaself and yes conformity is public policy but if u wanna get technical with it talk about dress codes and professional wear the stigmas and judgements on it all i'm gonna save what i said about conformity cuz that was GOAT
