This may not get many responses but so be it... Just a little something to entertain both greeks and aspirants...
Ask a question. If you are an aspirant/non-greek, the question must be geared toward a greek. If you are greek, the question must be geared toward an aspirant/non-greek.
Whoever answers, must then ask the person they're answering a question, and post a question for someone else to take a **** at.
Make sure all questions are WELL THOUGHT OUT, DECENT, AND RESPECTFUL.
I'll start.
To a greek:
What does your organization do for you and what do you do for your organization?
The greek that answers will then ask me a question and list a question for someone else to answer.
i'm not greek but i'll answer for them
"my org makes me a better person"
"it brings out the best in me"
"i partake in step shows and do charity for my org and i rock my fancy jacket DAILY"
there

Oft times I hear the work Greekdom being thrown out, which truly derived from the KT and Freemasons, also alluding to Phi Beta Kappa. Today's social greek society reflect absolutely nothing of the original standards set by Freemasons. In fact a few Freemasons feel that this is a dishonest perception on freek life, and that the wrong message on Greekdom is being sent out.
Now, what is your take on that? What do you consider Freemasons as? And what really is Greek life?
The concept of Greekdom is quite outstanding...it just doesn't seem to flow continously in the college department.

Yes and no to the bolded. I would say look into it more but i doubt you care enough to do so...
You best believe I have. Unfortunately I'm an outsider looking in, and my views are what are on display to the public; those also on the outside...not yours. Yes, core beliefs are still upheld...but that's like saying a community college is synonomous to vocational training. THe core belief is that you learn and get an education. The means however, are what makes the difference.

Yeah pretty much. I get where you are coming from.
Thats where i guess where my yes/no comes in. I had a huge response typed up but i deleted it. Basically, some people who are in fraternities/sororities know about their beginnings and some people have no clue (which is a shame).
It really depends on the organization, type of org and the chapter. In some cases people weren't taught what was a priority when it came to the organization and lost site of what their purpose is. But like i said it depends on the org... on that note... I love Phi Mu Alpha....

The research being done on the internet over Masons/OES contradicts itself and has been altered just like everyother peace of history in the world. I feel in order to find out about the Masons you would have to live thru it.... and after you've went thru it you'll be taking it to yo grave which is why it's difficult to find info on it.... Alot of BGLO history may be traced back to the Masons but what does it matter to the people that seem to have no intentions of becoming greek?
