2006 Honda battle Posted on 11-14-2005
MrG4

Okay i see who made it and yes this will be a show worth peeping. I'm starting to get my things 2gether now. If you plan on there let it be know but here it is.... • Jackson State University (1st time participant) and Prairie View A&M University, representing the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC); • North Carolina Central University and Virginia State University, representing the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA); • Florida A&M University and Bethune-Cookman College, representing the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC); • Clark Atlanta University and Tuskegee University, representing the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC); and • Central State University (1st time participant) and Langston University, both independents. Now if famu is on probay why are they there? Never been 2 a honda battle do they pick a winner and all that how does that go....... But yeah The Boom is all i need 2 see!

It ain't really a battle of the bands; it's more of a "showcase". I'd rather see Miles represent the SIAC instead of Skeegee though. I also hope it doesn't turn into an icy mess like it did the last time (that was the reason why I didn't go).

ok...what it SHOULD'VE been SWAC- JSU & TxSU (SU won't come anyway...and I'd rather see TxSU instead of PVAMU just to change it up a bit) MEAC- BCC & Norfolk- clearly the two best bands in the MEAC (TIRED of seeing FAMU...damn) CIAA- good as it is SIAC- Albany & Miles (tired of seeing CAU and TU every year and they're not even the best in the SIAC) Independent- Langston and Tennessee State (but maybe Central will surprise everybody like Langston did last year...we'll see)

Well enjoy!!! I've never been to the Bayou Classics B4. I really want to go. I was offered the chance to go last yr, but I declined....I had no idea what it was. But I know I look foward to seeing Jackson State and BCC at Honda. I LOVE BCC's marching and I heard no many great things about Jackson State. Hope theyare not overrated like FAMU and Miles.... :x
