I was thinkin the same thing. How do u determine if a song is #1 on a campus? Hmmm...maybe thru the campus radio station or sumthin. Then again, alot of students don't really listen to WHBC like that.
Maybe it's similar to how when a movie is coming out, the commericial always says, "the biggest movie of the summer", or when an artists is coming out with an album they announce the songs as, "the hottest singles of the year". More than likely it isn't true, but it helps with publicity
