hey hey hey,
so i'm finally visiting howard. me and my mom are gonna do the whole campus tour thing, but we wanted other things to do/places to see. do you know good places for us to visit near howard? it can be anything from restuarants to museums, good places to shop, etc.
if u go to the movies go to the one in Chinatown
I went to PG plaza (outside DC) and i thought it was ok
People say Georgetown and Adams Morgan is nice (neighborhoods)
oh and if u want to shop nice go to Chevychase
oh, my friend lives in Silver Spring and they got a nice "downtown" wit stuff to do
thats all i kno...
Well as far as museums are concerned, there's the whole Smithsonian downtown. It's a collection of different museums: African Art, Natural History, American History, Native American, Air and Space, the Holocaust museum and I think that's about it.
Chinatown is a good place for restaurants, it's not only chinese restaurants but like Ruby Tuesdays, a seafood restaurant, etc. Georgetown is also a good place for restaurants if you like italian and other international flavors and it's a good place for shopping, there's a mall down there and shops along the streets.
On U Street, right around the corner from HU, are some nice little shops as well as some good restaurants.
The nicest mall in the metro area is Tyson's Corner, but that's kind of far from Howard. Pentagon City is nice too though and it's not far, it's just across the 14th street bridge in Virginia.
Chevy Chase/Mazza Gallery is only a nice place to shop if you plan on spending hella money. The only regular priced shops are Hecht's, TJ Maxx, Loehmann's, and Filene's Basement. Other than that your choices are Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Chanel, Saks, Tiffany's, and other high end stores like that.
Hope I was helpful :0)
You clownin man lol. China Wonder and Dragon Express is way better than ho-chi. I'm happy to take the longer trip.
It's a African-American museam in Anacostia to I believe.
I would recommend Chinatown because that has a lot of restaurants, it's really close to HU, and it has a theatre.
Depending on what days your around, there may be a few things happening on campus.

ur wrong.
Yep, and as right as you are I bet you go straight to the toilet around 15 minutes after eatin ho-chi.
^^ lol. ah, the pros and cons of not living in Drew Hall.
pro: you've never eaten at Howard China, and can't imagine walking to Gresham Place when you can go to China Wonder and avoid the inconvenience of a Black man taking your money before you can give it to the Chinese. besides, at China Wonder they poison you with style!
lol, but seriously, Carver Hall guys miss out on the whole Ho Chi experience. only Drew alumni and Drew groupies even consider eating there.
I know Carver has like warm water and stuff like that, but I'm still happy to end up in Drew...o yea, and all those freshmen male in cook hall... Punks....
I admit, I hate on them all day...
