Stereotypes of the men and women at your HBCU

According to the people there, what would be some stereotypes, good and bad about the men and women at your HBCU? I just want to compare and see how much different our schools really are. They can be 99% true stereotypes, or those that are perceived but not really that true. But just let us know what you always hear people around your campus and at other campuses say. For FAMU..... Men: -Take at least five years to graduate (hmm....can't say it's that far off) -Think they are "players" according to many women (some of em do of course) -Are thugs, think they are thugs, or have a lot of **** tendencies to be in college (can be very true, especially with freshmen) -The Greek men are seen as being the "best on campus" or elite (according to many females) -Greeks, and sometimes dance troupes and modeling troupes get more play than the athletes (usually true) -Most dudes with extremely nice (or hooked up) cars are either "dope boys" or spoiled kids (hmm....pretty accurate) -Most dudes around campus and at clubs are VERY "thirsty" or aggressive in their approach with women (very accurate) Women: -Freshmen girls are usually flips/freaks/loose/easy (hmm....somewhat accurate, at least to an extent) -The best ones to "wife up" usually are the ones you never see at the club or doin too much on campus (can be true in some cases but not always) -Are a lot more into social status than economic...meaning they'd rather date a Greek dude than one who has a lotta money (very true) Both: -Always complain about financial aid bein late, even when it's not the school's fault (very true) -Always talkin down on FAMU and don't have too much pride......unless you go to FSU or another HBCU, then it's a whole different story (VEEEEEEEEEERY true)

Im not in college until fall and I hope this is not the things that people say rumors in college? thats like High School rumors about different people and stuff I dont know. Thats crazy to say that about Freshmen man my mother told me being a freshmen in college u get looked at like u in the sixth grade all over again underclassmen thats so stupid YOU ARE ALL IN COLLEGE so who or what makes one better than the next thats silly

LOL...that's how freshmen talk. But for real, most freshmen in college are just like they are in HS..meaning they think they are mature for their age and year/grade, but they are hella nieve and many don't have the experience to make wise decisions in various different ways. Even though most freshmen won't admit it (especially not at the time), they will make numerous decisions that they may regret, with some being worst than others. It's a reason that freshmen are looked at in the way they are. Nothin at all against them, because we all have to be freshmen before anything else of course...but that's how it is.

I got advice for days...just depends on how much you want to soak in. Keep ya pants on, and not only on, but zipped up, with your belt on very tight, even in the shower and when you change your clothes. Along with that, keep your mouth closed and don't put anything shaped like a hot dog in there that is not a hot dog or a popsickle...and be careful of how you treat those if you use them. No matter how much you like a particular fraternity, make sure to limit your visibility at their events, because the more you are seen at them, the more you will be labeled as a groupie, especially if you are seen giving sevaral members hugs. Being that you are a freshman, you have no legit excuse to know a lot of frat members, even if you think you do. Even if none of them have your number, if you are seen around them too much, or dancing with too many of them, or smiling too hard at them, you will be labeled by them, as well as others. Make sure not to dance too freaky at any party, whether it's a major club or a house party with 15 people there. And do not go into any rooms with any guys. To avoid these situations, make sure not to drink anything at any parties that may have alcohol in it. If it tastes suspect, it probably is suspect, even if it tastes good. You may end up wanting to use the excuse of "damn that wasn't me, that was the alcohol!!" which will not matter, because it was done by you, and no one cares if you were **** as hell, sober, or even passed out. Do NOT, and I repeat, do NOT kick it with females who brag about the "**** they got" or who they were with last nite, or who they are goin to kick it with when it's a different name every other nite. People believe that birds of a feather not only flock together, but get down and dirty together as well. If she is a long time homegirl of yours, FORCE her to change her ways if her behavior brings her negative attention. I can keep goin...but those are the basics.
