If you won a contest that provided $1,000,000 for your Undergraduate Alma Mater, but you could specify what it would be used for, what would you request?

Physical infrastructure. Scholarships attract students, but facilities keep students.

Not sure...either to beautification of the campus (replace old outdoor courts, fix the inadequate drainage system to stop the floodin on the walkways, just fix stuff that make the campus look ****) or to the Dept of Natural Sciences cuz my Dean is always sayin he has to go and hunt for money. The whole Natural Sciences building needs to be renovated and we need alot of supplies that usually fall on the students to buy. or (I onno how much it cost to support a football team/re-start one) I'd give it to Athletics to restart the football team. Even if it's not enough to support a team, it's a good start.

Rebuild ALL of the traditional dorms Minus the UV and FLLC. Hell, SSU needs more than $1M for that....

I would use it to expand the Engineering and Technology Building. Since the departments in the school are accredited, I would like to see a startup of chemical engineering and aerospace engineering. Since my alma mater's metro area has a large concentration of engineers, scientists, and technical companies, bringing more money to the departments within that school would hopefully give it a more competitive edge among the other institutions in the area and the state. At least I would like to see that happen.

to the Music Dept and the Activities: Half of it would be for Music Scholarships and instrument purchases to increase retention of talented upperclassmen(they do you right your first year then start giving out less money so as to have more funds to attract newbies. not a good look) the other half would be an investment to provide for more activites on campus and pay for interesting PROLIFIC community leaders to give workshops and lectures.
