the movie looks like corny GARBAGE to me...and you're right...it looks like a You Got Served/Drumline mix and both of those movies weren't so great...Drumline had a bittersweet effect on the marching band world and I feel as if this movie will do the same to the Black Greek community I'll pass

A friend of mine who saw the competition on ESPN who's opinion i respect said it was so/so... i haven't seen any previews but iono. There's supposedly another movie coming out soon called Steppin' which should be in post production stages now.

i agree on the corny garbage part. got the same kind of feeling from the preview that i got from the You Got Served preview. trash. instead of this movie... go see the Pursuit of Happyness.

Correction... the movie that was originally called "Steppin" is now called Stomp the Yards. I finally saw the preview and realized that they are one in the same. I know they filmed the cafeteria scene at Morehouse's campus. I remember going to the caf and leaving **** off that day because they practically shut it down and were treating grown men who paid for their meals like little kids (we couldn't talk... they kept shussshing us cus they were trying to film...). Anyway... it looks like a step show meets Electric Boogaloo... smh. The concept is STUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPID... oh my goodness. Its not just gonna be a dumb movie... i see it being detrimental to Black Greeks and HBCU's in general. Check out these links. food for thought. http://www.aka1908.com/news/stomptheyardresolution/ read the message boards on imdb too http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0775539/
