Depends on what you're looking for and what you want to do. When looking at hardware, the PS3 is simply a more sophisticated system. The processors are more advanced and the games are made to support it. While the game selection is pretty lackluster, you have to give them time to get their weight up. They're not the marketing mogul that Microsoft is. The thing that will keep most people from buying the PS3 is the $600 price tag. I mean, why spend that much money when you can have similar games on an KBox that is cheaper, or more "fun" games on the Wii? What makes the Wii most exciting is the ability be more involved. There are numerous games that allow you to swing your controller when you are armed with a sword, or aim and fire your controller if armed with a firearm. It is also more closely priced to the original PS2. The games themselves are also much cheaper as well. There's a ton of other aspects to analyze too, but I plan on clicking the "Quick Reply" button.
Basically, if you want games that are fun without having to break the bank, then get the Wii. However if you have to have THE BEST, then you won't mind shelling out the cash for the PS3. That will end up being the case when comparing either of the three leading game consoles.
The wii is simply more fun... You gotta play the tennis game to understand... I got one for my little girl for Christmas and she loves it... I like it alot too, plus its fun to not only play but also to watch people play is kind of interesting. Oh man if they come out with a starwars game for it, with the light-saber being the controller, its over! People have dreamed of having a light saber ever since star wars I.. I know i wanted one! The bad thing about the wii is that there are not many games out for it yet...
PS3 is for those folks that love graphics... thats probably it.
Thank for the feedback, I was thinking about getting a Wii for the exercise! lol My friends LOVE the bowling game and I figured I could use the Wii to get up on my bowling skills at home and come back and **** them on the lanes....
How old is your daughter? Do you think a 2 year old could play with it...I mean, a GENIUS two year old like my daughter lol
