I think that being at a HBCU will open your eyes to some new experiences, romantically and otherwise.
You're about to be exposed to people with personalities and mindsets that will be completely unique to you. Some which work for you, and some dont.
I would say do whatever makes you comfortable and happy.

Look, If nobody else feels you I FEEL YOU. Coming from a completely white neighborhood, going to NC A&T was a huge culture shock for me, but I got used to it. I NEVER hung out/dated black people in high school. Going to an HBCU is a knock in the head to anyone attenting one though. While you're moping around worring about your experiences with a certain race, you've comepletely ignored the fact that whether you know it or not, there are other people at your school that are just like you. However, even though my experiences with black women haven't been anything to write home to mum about, I wouldn't limit myself if I were you. Regardless of whether you go to an HBCU or not. For every white guy that you date because you haven't had good experiences otherwise, there's a Black guy, a Latino guy, an Asian guy, and God knows how many mulattos, octaroons, and what have you that only can understand where you're coming from, but would probably right up your alley. But you're too focused on the stereotypes of a skin colour.
No matter what school you go to, there's ALWAYS a choice. HBCUs aren't just for black folk, they're for everyone. Many of the people that I had classes with and even worked with on campus were white. No, they weren't the "wiggas" that you're probably thinking. I know more people at A&T that are of OTHER nationalities at A&T than I do black folk.
In addition, your experiences with white guys can't be all that fantastic either. Otherwise, you'd still be with the FIRST one that you went with. So don't try to stick it on one race. ****, you got some growing up to do, for real. I don't mean in a disrespectful way, but there are so many other aspects of a guy that you should be worried about besides a skin colour. Otherwise you're missing the whole picture of being with someone.
Wow...Ummm...
Like the person above stated, do not limit yourself to one particular race of men. I know and understand how difficult it is but you have to keep an open mind and heart. If all else fails, expand your horizons off campus. Maybe, there is a majority school near by where you could meet new people. I'd also check out the web. Why? Well, there are plenty of dating sites that cater specifically to those who seek interracial relationships.
Good luck!
