PHOENIX PHOENIX PHEONIX! I think black enterprise had a speacial section on Pheonix last year...man don't sleep on Pheonix it's just like LA minus the crime, pollution, traffic ect.
Personally it reminds me of Atlanta, but the quality of life is better. Better job market, more ****, more tolerance and acceptance.
Good schools! look it up! There are more black folk out here than you think!
I believe the top city for any professional (black, white or whatever) depends on your field...
I agree!!!!! If you're tryna get into healthcare, dont sleep on Cleveland...we're home to Cleveland Clinic, one of the top hospitals in the WORLD...and we got Case Medical school too...

The thing about these "popular" places is that you just aren't the only person interested in them...so is every other Black person (and they momma & daddy lol). So with everyone migrating to these places, that increases competiveness for the job market, affordable housing availability, and accomodating resources. For my field (media) sometimes it's best to start off in a smaller market (less populated city/town) so you can work your way up easier and get more experience. Some people are hustlas and can make it anywhere they go, but if interested in moving to a big city, i'd recommend already having a job lined up. Just seems like the safest bet to me

Y'all both ain't never lie. Especially speaking as a recent grad residing in Atlanta. Its a great city and there is plenty of opportunity but only if you have the credentials and are well established in something. Its hard to start from the bottom in this city because it is so competitive.
However I will say that the concentration of black professionals in particular here is larger in respect to most cities. I don't think i've fully gotten used to walking into offices of companies that are doing very well and the main folk in charge look like me (you don't really see that back home)
I'm not saying this because I'm from Chicago but I definitly think Chicago is a good market. It is a well estiblished city with 100's of major 500 companies, it is well diversed, the city is know for its entertainment and social life etc..there is a lot more but I just cant think of it right now..to be continuted..lol
