YoungPhenom4theFuture is all over the forums on issues ranging from moving too fast in a relationship to struggling with making you happy vs. everybody else over your college choice.
She's still discovering, just like you, but most of the time, she's got some good insight.
Occasionally she and NeoSoul get together on an issue, and it's DONE... Real good second opinions. Old school and New school, but foundational stuff is timeless.
Use this thread to post a quick life question and get a quick answer. YoungPhenom4theFuture promises a quick reaction time, so let's try it out with a couple of questions and see what happens...
1. You responded to a 40something year old guy trying to make the choice whether to move a girlfriend in, recently. How do you know life stuff and you are still so young.
2. Did grandma raise you?
3. What's your circle of friends like? Are you the one that has to be the voice of reason or... NOT?
4. Tell us a little about yourself and what you feel most comfortable talking about... so I can throw my Life Questions at ya.

This isn't a question for her as much as it is...
JB, are you okay?! The news is all over the place about the tornados that hit down there!
Yea, I'm good. I'm online with all of the free daytime, listening to the sirens.
fyi for whoever checks in, we're talking about Enterprise, AL. My little city got on the map yesterday, when a tornado hit. Our one highschool is demolished. Lot's of kids injured and more than 10 **** yesterday alone, contrary to reports. Those families are the ones to keep in your prayers...

Well I just celebrated my eighteenth birthday, so yea I am really young, but I've always believed that I have an old folks soul. I think that people consider me a voice of reason not because I've gone through all 20 million things I talk about, but I've observed people who have. Just watching people go through different experiences helps me focus my life. You can say I'm living vicariously through others.
2. Did grandma raise you?
Hmm...in a big way she did. Me and my mom moved to NY to be with my grandmother when I was about 7 years old, so she's definitely had a huge impact on my life. My mother of course taught me everything I know, and gave me a set of morals and ethics that have gotten me to where I am now.
3. What's your circle of friends like? Are you the one that has to be the voice of reason or... NOT?
My friends are all real good kids. Like...I'm so proud of them because we're all headed towards really great places in our lives. Some of them have had a couple of rough patches, but through it all we've been there for each other. Everybody knows that when it goes down, that I'm basically going to be the one to hold stuff down. That's just the type of person I am though. I'm always having to talk sense into somebody trying to do something stupid but one thing I don't do, is give advice that's unwanted. That's like my self proclaimed life work.
4. Tell us a little about yourself and what you feel most comfortable talking about... so I can throw my Life Questions at ya.
Hmm...Well my name is Jennifer. I guess I should have told ya that earlier but oh well. I'm from Long Island, New York and will be attending Hampton University in the fall. I am a real relaxed type person about most things (I try to be at least) and I try my hardest not to be judgemental, so trust that any situations told to me will given the fairest opinion that I can muster. I'm kind of a perfectionist so please guys, bare with me.
Ok, let me try out this advice forum....
Um, issues of life, let me see.
Here's one I have, this is feeling like truth or dare
Ok, so my issue is that I get a lot of feedback that I am not social enough.
I act like I'm old, I need to relax more, too serious, lalala...
Of course I don't agree, but, I'm not big on group interaction. I LOVE work and I'm content hanging out with my closest, closest friends/family and most everybody else on a social note, I see when I see.
What's wrong with that? Why do people make me feel guilty for being busy? or is it just me feeling guilty and avoiding the issue? What are the dangers of NOT dating? Not hanging out? What is the purpose of small talk? How much time should you spend being recreational? Give me some advice.

So we can hit you up for a quick second opinion here or post a new thread in the yard for the major stuff and for the guy stuff and you'll look out for us there too, right?
Thanks Jennifer!
I'm glad you are part of our community. Big Hug!
