HBCU Concerns !!!

Ok.. Im a senior in high school and my top HBCU's include Hampton, Clark and FAMU and my Predom White Schools are UF, UGA and Vanderbilt. I plan to major in public relations.The concerns that I have with Hampton, Clark and FAMU is that when i call and email they never answer back, or i dont get an acknowledgement that they got the email or phone call and this has been going on for a year now literally !!!! But when it comes to UF, Vanderbilt , and UGA i get things in the mail within a week and phone calls and email within a day !!! i know some people might be like the reason is because it is an HBCU whether or not they realize it or not it really does effect a persons prospective about a college. but my concern is if they are doing this to me while trying to get information but when its time to get internships and time for graduation are they going to be there or do i have to go through the same thing im going through now !! because if thats the case i dont want to attend an HBCU. and i know some people may like you will have more fun and have more friends if you attend a HBCU..but fun will not help me with my career...

I'm not sure about having "more fun/friends" at an HBCU. I think you mean being around peers of the same race making you feel more comfortable. Do trust people of all races and creeds know how to get down with the best of em. As far as your experience with HBCU's and them being prompt about responding to you, I'm not sure what that's about. Confused

I dont doubt what you are saying about the responsiveness of HBCU employees as being true. Quite honestly, some white schools (especially schools as large as UF and UGA) have bigger staffs and can devote employees to specifically answer phone calls and emails. With HBCU's its not that easy; thats why you have websites like this one where alumni and current students are available to answer all of your inquiries. Also, you may want to consider checking the particular schools website regularly. Sometimes the answer to our questions is only a mouse click away and we wont even have to bother with phone calls or emails.
