With Africa becoming increasingly marginalised we are monitoring your upcoming elections very closely. As a political journalist and an African (albeit white) I believe it is vital to guage the mood of black America. In this regard : 1. Many associate your origins to our continent ; and 2. Concern yourselves with our affairs. As I stated on my blog which is carried in a national newspaper : Thought Leader » Michael Trapido » Would a Barack Obama Presidency be good for Africa? Obama would be a great president for Africa ; but Hillary Clinton would not : Thought Leader » Michael Trapido » The trouble with Hillary Clinton for the reasons set out above. I believe Africa desperately needs a president who has emotional ties to our continent. Mike
