Ladies...What are acceptable gifts that a man can give you at the last minute if he forgot about the special occasion? (birthday, anniversary, Mother's Day, "first time we held hands in public", etc) Something that won't make you say "You forgot didn't you?! " and spoil the mood.
Flowers, cards and candy are basics but are they always acceptable at the last minute?
Last minute being less than 24 hours.
Give us fellas some ideas so we can stay out of the doghouse.
DIAMONDS ALWAYS WORK!!!
BUT If you cant get a gift in the last minute... take me where we went on our first date, or someplace that we went together back when we first started dating. That to me is more special than any gift you could ever give me.
I don't ask for much, so whatever little you do give would be appreciated. Primarily: Hugs, kisses, pie, and dark chocolate. Plus, I will cut some slack on the missed birthday or anniversary, since I've forgotten my own birthday on more than one occasion. Work will do that to you.
a nice poem ;
massage ;
candlelit bath/dinner
all are easy to
act like you've had planned for
awhile and are FREE!
when i am running out of time for a gift and can't think of a really nice one, i make a lil gift basket. like make a theme or something.. one year for mother's day i ran to wal-mart the night before and got my mama favorite candy, a candle, wrote her a poem, a card, and told her to just relax all day. i waited on her and made her meals. sometimes people just want you to DO for them. if you don't have a gift, get a card, and then maybe call a radio station and send a shout out or fill up her tank with gas or something. little things count the most.. they're more personal.
What?! Forget?! I know this post is a bit old, but I say, like the lady on the Wal-Mart commercial who was advertising the steaks, let him sweat it out first.
Heh.
^^ See the difference between my original question and that commercial is that in the commercial, it wasn't a special occasion. But in mine, it's somethin going on, he remembers within 24 hrs and needs a gift idea. He didn't walk in the house, see steaks and wondered what the occasion was like TV.
See, you keep watchin TV and you AND the steak lady will be giftless! lol
lol!@me and the steak lady, WHAT's THAT SPOZED TO MEAN?!!
Anyways, my point is, he should've remembered, so like I said...
SWEAT IT OUT!
Shoont, I bet I'd remember how much he paid for my 1st drink before he remembers my birthday anyday of the week!!
