Hey ya'll. I know that plenty of people have done one of these "tell me everything I need to know about FAMU" posts before......but whatever lol.. can someone tell me the good and bad (besides they may loose ya stuff sometimes ) about Fam. and in general are the people nice there ? Im a little nervous about meeting new people and being in a whole notha city on my own. by the way I'll be a senior in high school this year ( class of 09 !!!!!)..just trynna find out a lil bit more about it .....
ps. when should I apply? and above all is it really difficult to get into the school ? cause I heard "errbody get into FAMU" ,but is that really true?
i reallii kant tell u about the school kusz i start in the fall buht the application process i kulldd put u on to something APPLY EARLLIIEE and take the sats and the acts because if i hadnt have taken the acts then i wuldnt of got accepted and take them more than once uhmm they havent lost anything of mines yet but make copies of everything kall them od amountsz and no i dont think evryone and their moms gets into famu kuz i know some people who didnt but one thing is that they do wait mad long to geh back to you i have orientation nex week and styll no orienation papahs buht yeaa go to the website and start browsing event though there reallii isnt much on their and know what u wanna do yooull be more focused **** hope i helped a lill bitt..<---de3ja
yES APPLY EARLY. AND no NOT ANYMORE LOL pple get denied from FAMU now my homegirl did its not as easy.. but if you have a okay sat and act score i dont see why not... Um i go in the fall too so i really can't help. YES not only FAMU but alot of schools seem to lose things so it is wise to have copies of everything. From what i heard famu is MAD fun its in a college city.. there are ups and down but thats everywhere... when i get ther i could help u some more but lol yea cant really say wnymore now but i CANT WAIT TI BE AN OFFICAL RATTLER..
I would say apply early so u have all ur sh*t on time. i applied in May, still havent gotten my admissions letter, lol. they keep sayin its comin...but....ehhh...i doubt it. the good thing is that you can call them to find out if you're accepted and what hall ur going to be in and all that.
as far as everyone getting in...i can definitely see it, lol.
ANNDDDD....if you apply early, you get better financal aid opportunities (really, im talking about thousands more) and you get better housing options.
When i first arrived at FAM i was real quiet and closed up since i was new and didn't know what to expect. Trust that most of the freshman are feeling the same way you do and once you start classes, get involved in activities, and get to know the people who live around you - you'll start making friends like crazy. Everyone was pretty nice and helpful, can't remember anyone being mean. I was also lucky to have a great R.A. who made sure that her residents got to know each other from the get go to lift the tension from the air.
aye wats good ya'll, its ya boy Mr. FAMU, well at least once i get up in there. I was accepted for the fall 09 term, but does anyone know about the swim team?
