My Favorite Author

bell hooks Why? Because she is a genius. She educates, challenges and captivates me. Her writing style is bold, concrete and articulate. Her work has been a significant part of my intellectual and political development of over the last 8 years. She is my mentor. She has written about 35 books. Where We Stand: Class Matters Bone Black: Memories of Girlhood - The first of her books that I read at 13 As well as a number of articles.

Favorite author? Omar Tyree. What makes them stand out from the rest? His books are written in very precise words,  and his books are about urban fiction and what is going on in todays society so thats eye catching literature for me.  Books they have written: Cold Blooded, One Crazy Night, College Boy,Capital City, Flyy Girl, For The Love of Money, Boss Lady, Single Mom,  Leslie, Diary of a Groupie, Sweet St. Louis, What They Want, Just Say No!, A Do Right Man, Pecking Order, The Last Street Novel, 12 Brown Boy, and The equation Which ones have a read? I read most of them except: Capital City, One Crazy Night, The Equation, 12 Brown Boys, College Boy, Single Mom, A Do Right Man, & Sweet St. Louis. My Favorites: Flyy Girl, Just Say No, Lestlie, The Last Street Novel.
